By Fabio Campolim (Boulder, Colorado, EUA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Semiconductor Lasers: Past, Present, and Future (AIP Series in Theoretical & Applied Optics) (Hardcover)
The editor G. P. Agrawal and his colleagues provide in this book a series of excellent papers focusing new applications of AlGaAs (and others) semiconductor lasers. It ranges from the basic intra-cavity equations to optical biestability, four wave mixing, the laser synthetizer and optical communications. Subjects are reviewed in history, mathematical formulation, pratical applications and future perpesctives. It's a very good source of information for those involved in research and engineering of semiconductor lasers.
