The case works very well -- my only complaint is that it is a bit pricey

I purchased this case for my husband as a Christmas gift and he was very pleased with the case. It is a high quality soft leather case. The case also functions as a "stand" so that you can prop the iPod touch up for extended viewing of videos. The snap can be a little bit tricky, but once it's snapped in, the stand is secure and does not come undone. I highly recommend this for the frequent traveler, as it would work great on a plane tray table. Anyone who uses their iPod touch for extended video viewing will definitely enjoy the stand feature. The price is a little higher than other cases, but I have come back to purchase this case two more times - once for myself and once as another gift - despite lower-cost alternatives being available.

I bought this case for two reasons. The first was for a compact case to easily carry my Touch. The case definitely fulfills this as it was easy to insert the iPod, the case is attractive and is compact enough to fit into a pocket. Since it's leather, you'll need to break it in, like a baseball glove. The second reason was for the stand in order to watch video. The description and pictures are deceptive. It gives the appearance that the back flips over and serves as the stand. Not true, it is the strap that you have to bend back to serve as the stand. It took a little playing around with to realize this. That is the only negative to this case. There were a couple of reviews stating that the case would scratch the back of the iPod if you take it out of the case. I have inserted and removed mine a few times and haven't encountered this problem.

Overall, a good purchase, though I could see a competitor coming out with a better, lower priced version.

This is a high quality product and does a great job of protecting my iPod. It works great as a stand to watch movies as well. Another way to utilize the case to watch movies is to squeeze the cover flap either under the headrest of a car or into a closed tray table on a plane. The iPod hangs down nicely and provides a great viewing angle to watch movies. My iPod did slide out of the case one time when I was holding the case open - just something to be careful of. Overall, I am very happy with the case. It is worth the extra money.

This is a great case. It provides great protection for the iPod, it looks great, and it also acts as a stand that allows you to set the iPod down on a flat surface and view the screen horizontally. I have used the case as a stand, for example, on airplane tray tables and it works well. To use as a stand, you need to bend the cover backwards. If the leather is stiff, you may need to work it in a bit. When closed, it has the look of a thin wallet.

This works perfectly with my iPod Touch 3g. The leather is soft and the stitching seems to be quite strong. The stand feature works great while listening to music at work. The folio style allows for a much better grip on the iPod while I am reading my news feeds during my commute. It also allows for easy one handed operation in landscape orientation while scrolling with your thumb.

I am removing 1 start from my review. The only downside I have found with this case is that after a couple of weeks of use it becomes very easy for your iPod to slip out if you hold it in a landscape orientation. The leather is very smooth and slippery and since the back of the iPod is polished there is no friction to hold it in place. If you have the headphones plugged in this is not a problem since the location of the jack will hold the iPod in place. I often use the iPod without the headphones and I am trying to figure out a way to make it stay in place. Currently I have just placed a small rubber band between the back of the iPod and the case and that seems to be helping but I am searching for a more permanent solution.

I wanted a case for my new iPod Touch that would protect it when not in use and double as a stand for video viewing. This case serves both purposes and is very nicely made too. The leather is supple and well stitched. I've been using it for maybe a year now and it shows no signs of wear at all. The iPod slides into the case and there are gaps for all the sockets and controls. When not in use the flap (which contans a pocket for the screen de-fingerprinter cloth) folds over, snaps shut, and protects the screen. There is some softness to the case which will protect it slightly if I drop it. When in use the flap folds back and the same snap holds it open. You can place it on a flat surface and watch videos on it.

The angle is not adjustable and the iPod sits too vertical for my liking. I would have prefered to be able to set the iPod a little flatter to improve the viewing angle.

I own this case and would order it again! It's attractive, made of good leather and my iPod Touch fits perfectly. I think it would be better to make the inside back from suede because the smooth leather definitely will leave fine scratches on the mirror back (why does Apple make such a scratch/fingerprint magnet?!?) but this issue was easily resolved for me by putting an extra screen protector on the back of the iPod. That also gives a little traction to prevent sliding although the fit is snug enough that I don't see how the iPod could accidentally fall out. The case is quite slim, with the iPod inside it measures only 5/8 inch thick and easily fits in a pocket. I have not found that any part of the case gets in my way when using the iPod or its accessories. The flap folds back easily, giving you something much more substantial to hold than a bare iPod. The stand for watching movies works as advertised but YouTube videos are going to be upside down...not a deal breaker because it's easy enough to prop it against something. My only niggle, and the reason I didn't give five stars, is that the strap on my one is sewn on just a hair crooked. Again not a deal breaker but at this price it should be perfect...and otherwise it is.
