4.0 out of 5 stars NOT galvanized - description is wrong
As of this date, the description for this product is wrong. These are not galvanized nails but are the plain "bright finish" nails. I told Amazon's customer service about a week ago but they haven't corrected it yet.

The proper part number for galvanized nails of this size is A301759 for the 700 count pack and DA19EABN for the 4000 count pack. Ho-- D-po-...

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong nails
I ordered 3 different size Senco nails from Amazon for my finish nail gun, 1-1/2", 1-3/4" and 2-1/2" all were advertized as electro galvanized. Of what I ordered only the 2-1/2" arrived as ordered. The 1-1/2" showed up bright, not galvanized. The box marked 1-3/4" showed up with 1-1/2" long bright (non-galvanized) nails inside. I will keep all the nails that were shipped...

Just in case you don't know, galvanized nails are typically for outdoor use. They have a sacrificial coating that will corrode away first before the steel in the nail starts to rust. 'Bright' finish nails are cleverly named to distract from the fact they have no finish essentially, just bare steel (maybe an oil or wax coat). They are for dry use projects (indoors).

I will keep all the nails that were shipped even though they are less expensive bright and wrong size nails because I hate the hassle and I don't have the time to try and make it right. I've purchased many things from Amazon and this is the first time I've had a problem. I will not be buying nails from Amazon again. I will pay a little more at the local big box store and get what I pay for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for DeWalt and other brands, March 31, 2005

These nails work perfectly with my DeWalt D51275K 15 gauge angled finish nailer, and the size/shape of the reuseable plastic case they come in is handy for holding extra nails in the tool belt or even your back pocket.

Not mentioned in the Amazon description is the following included with the nails: "Fits SENCO SFN1, SFN30, SFN40; AccuSet A250FN; Craftsman 18432, 18442; DeWalt D51275K; Porter-Cable DA250A." There are 700 nails in the pack. The DeWalt can be finickey about nails, and it definitely likes these.

I purchased my nailer from Amazon, and at the time they were offering $25 off purchases over $199. To hit that number, the only thing I could think of was to get a variety of nails, so I added these AccuSet 1-1/2" nails, along with a pack of 2" nails and a pack of 2-1/2" nails to the shopping cart. So I got variety of nail sizes that work good with my nailer practically for free. Can't beat that.

1.0 out of 5 stars A301500 is NOT Electro Galvanized, March 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Somebody entered this product into the Amazon database incorrectly. I ordered the product and when it arrived it was the Bright Common, not Electro Galvanized. Luckily Amazon returns are very easy. However they have STILL not fixed this glaring issue in their system.

I bought these nails for use in the DeWalt D51275K nailer. It works well so far. I just wished they made these nails in a galvanized version so I can use them in bathroom trimwork.

4.0 out of 5 stars They're Galvanized!, October 22, 2011

It is often assumed the opposite of love is hate; not true. Fear is the opposite of love.

Don't be afraid to buy these nails. They are galvanized, they fit my Hitachi nailer, and are less expensive than at a real store. Minus one star because they're just nails!

3.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Description, not galvanized steel, August 22, 2011

Description of this item is wrong. The nails are made of bright steel instead of Galvanized steel. I can still use them because I use them in the house. The vendor should have the description changed since there is a review posted already pointing out this error.

5.0 out of 5 stars good nails, February 15, 2011

This review is from: Senco A302509 15 Gauge by 2-1/2-Inch Electro Galvanized Finish Nail (Tools & Home Improvement)
these nails are of the proper hardness for all types of woods. they are less likely to follow the wood grain when shot in. I've been a professional carpenter for over 20 years now and in my honest opinion, these are some of the best nails on the market. all said, you get what ya pay for.

The packaging of the product when I received it was awful. The nails had come out of its orginal package and was seperated in pieces in the box. Very disappointed on how it was shipped.
