1.0 out of 5 stars Senco doesn't stand behind their products., February 28, 2008

This review is from: Senco Cordless 41 15 Gauge Angled Finish Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I use this gun quite frequently during the spring/summer/fall months for installing trim, as I'm part owner of a window installation company. The gun is handy, and when it works, it's a great tool to have. However, I own 2 of these and both have been sent off under warranty to be repaired MANY times. One was just sent off last week.. a few months prior it stopped firing, I sent it off and they installed 'new upgraded parts to fix a known problem'. Well, it obviously didn't fix the problem, as the gun doesn't fire again -- nothing is jammed, it just makes this tiny/short/quiet "squeak" sound, just as it did the time before that. $250 to repair it since their "upgrades" didnt change or extend the original warranty. 7 days later, other one did the same exact thing. The newer of the two was sent off to get fixed within the first week of buying it also. That one is at least under warranty still, but I'm DONE with Senco products. Time to try the Dewalt I suppose.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Senco Cordless 41 15 Gauge Angled Finish Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
We purchased this cordless nailer to use in rehabbing a house. Thinking of all Senco products I've had in the past which were GOOD quality, I figured it would be handy to have this cordless nailer, so I wasn't dragging air hose all over the place. However, this tool is nothing but BAD. To put it as concisely as possible, it's was made in China junk. It would periodically fire a nail, but you could have a cup of coffee in between each nail shot. The battery had very little life even after being fully charged...so you were continually charging the battery...yup, more coffee while waiting. It had this crazy little red light and a little green light that would blink and tell you when you could or couldn't fire the gun.

I returned the gun and by the way, Amazon and the supplier were great about the return. No hassles and a very prompt refund. No complaints there. I did go out and buy an air gun after returning this one and it fires fine. I was able to buy the gun, compressor and hose for the same price I paid for the cordless nailer. Not as convenient but much more reliable. Sorry to say, but no more Senco products for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money, May 30, 2010
This review is from: Senco Cordless 41 15 Gauge Angled Finish Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased the Senco 41 when they first came out and the tool has seen very little use since it has been in the repair shop more than on the job. Now the batteries are weak and dying. I have a first generation model that is very slow to cycle between shots. I understand they have improved the tool since then. I have pneumatic Senco finish guns and I think they are second to none so it seemed logical to compliment my kit with this battery powered tool that uses the same nails. Wrong. As other people here have said, the Dewalt finish nailer is way better but unfortunately, it uses different nails. I am very disappointed in the Senco air free nail gun and I would not recommend it to anyone.
