I purchased this nailer during the summer because I wanted a nail gun that didn't involve me dragging a compressor around. At first I didn't like it but after a call to SENCO I found out my battery was bad and I was using the wrong gas cylinders. You can't find SENCO gas cylinders because they don't make them anymore. You need to buy Paslode red cylinders. I originally purchased Bostich cylinders because they say on the box that they work with the GT90CH. Take my word for it, they don't work with this gun. Buy the Paslode gas cylinders and the gun works great. I got it for half the price of the Palsode gun which is the most sought after, but I've used both and I think the SENCO gun works just as well. I framed and decked a whole roof with this gun without a problem. Note the SENCO rep said that if I'm not using the gun for a while I need to recharge the battery at least once a month to keep the cells in the battery from going bad. Because of the battery and the difficulty in finding correct gas cylinders, I gave it 4 stars.

This nailer isn't as quick as a compressor, but otherwise does the job well. You'll need to get another battery because you have to run the NiCD battery down completely before recharging (memory effect), but so far, I can recharge one before the second runs down. It wants to stop firing when you get to the last 4-6 nails in bundle. Don't know why, but drop in another stick of nails and it goes back to work. The case is sturdy and well designed.

It isn't as light or well balanced as the trim nailer version of this gun, but if you can pick one up for $200 and another battery for $50 or less, and you prefer to not carry around a compressor and hoses all the time, you'll be happy with this unit.

I purchased this gun back in August. Its been working great! Along with many little jobs, I also framed two decks at the same time and it held up great! It feels good and balanced in your hand. It shipped quicker then expected too.
