Bought this to put down some sub floor prior to vinyl install, and it was doing just fine, after I figured out how to drive staples consistently deep. After about 200 staples I apparently hit something below the sub floor that didn't allow a staple to drive and the result was a crinkled staple above the floor----well that can happen, but the end result was a busted tab/ear on the release door of the stapler that rendered it unusable. Am now waiting for warranty repair to determine outcome. The part that broke is a small casting that traps the top end of the release door---seems like a poor design. When it worked it did drive staples just fine. Knowing what I know now I would not recommend this model.

I fired about 4,000 1.5 inch staples for a wood dowel fence with wire cattle fencing on the inside. Stapler did rather well. Drove all staples in at about 100 psi or more in the line. Anything less and it won't drive deep enough. In fact, the drive at 150 psi is so powerful, that if you don't adjust the driving depth all the way out, the staple goes so far into the wood that it cuts the metal wire of the fence. This is a plus, cause you should prefer better driving depth that can be adjusted out rather than poor driving depth that can't. The flaws were these: #1. About every 10-20 staples the stapler would fire 2-3 staples like an automatic machine gun. It would do this despite me not trying to do it. #2. About every 800-1000 staples, the feeding mechanism would lock out (like a tongue sticking out). I would disconnect the air hose and it would go back in, but when I reconnected it, it would go back out not allowing another staple to fire. I finally figured out how to fix it, you had to push against the wood real hard to shove it back in and fire the staple gun. This would re-set it back to proper location to continue. #3. About every 600 staples, the gun would leak air from within. Again, the way to fix it was to fire the staple gun again and what ever was lodged open, would reset. #4. This one was down right dangerous. 3 times during the job, the stapler began spontaneously firing like a machine gun despite my finger not being on the trigger. It is suppose to not fire unless pressed against something. twice it happened immediately after a fire and kept going despite removing it off the wood, once it happened spontaneously just holding it without ever putting it on wood or firing it. Let me tell you, those staples went out like bullets, went into hard wood about 0.Read more ›

I have used the Senco SNS41 Staple gun for only a short time, shooting about four clips of one inch staples into cyprus and pressure treated wood repairing fencing.

The stapler drives the one inch staples with ease and allows for depth control - nice feature.

The stapler has dual shooting capability - place gun, pull trigger; or hold trigger and bump gun against wood. Both features are nice, especially when rapidly placing staples.

We have had numerous occasions in which the gun fired multiple times when we were attempting to precisely place one staple. The gun would fire on trigger pull, and then if not held against the wood hard enough, the recoil would cause the gun to bounce driving another staple, and sometimes two or three if we did not catch it fast enough. It would be nice if the bump fire could be temporarily inhibited for these situations. Other than that, I have no issues to date, and would purchase again.

this stapler is worth the money. it does shoot a jacked staple every so often but it has not jammed yet (2000 staples).

I thought that when I purchased this Senco staple gun at such a low price in comparison to the running prices everywhere else it was too good to be true......Well it was. I guess I was the sucker that was born for this one. I returned it after trying it for one day. No matter what air pressure used, or what length staple used, it would not put the staples into pine wood all the way. Tool was oiled, Depth adjustment worked on......everything. The tool was not a remanufactured tool, so I just don't know. I then purchased a different model tool locally for $100.00 more, and it works like a Senco should. Buyer beware.

TOTAL GARBAGE!!!! I am a contractor, I purchased two of these new for a big roof project. On the first day I used them they jammed all the time! The staples ride up on each other! I never shot a full two racks of staples with out them jamming. Then I dropped one 10 ft off the roof onto the grass and it snapped in half!!!!! There are cheaply constructed, not like most Senco products.
I went to the hardware store and purchased to Hitachai's and had no problems with them.
Dont wast your time or money with these!

I purchased this for sheathing, subflooring and general construction. When you're laying the roofing sheathing, it will staple as fast as you can drag it down the gauge line. Learning to control the stapler at that speed is the only problem. It has jammed a few times when using 2" staples, never with shorter ones. Clearing jams is incredibly easy because of the quick release lever on the nose of the stapler. This stapler exceeds expectations.
