Though some Spanish words I don't understand the meaning but I could follow it. It's peaceful to read it, maybe it's because there are so many religious aspects. This is the first time I read Christian fiction & I enjoyed it!

okay..... so i got this book from the author herself (how cool...) and would like to say a big thank you to her again.
After reading the first chapter i was excited that the book had taken an expected start, but nothing could have prepared me for the many twists and turns ahead.....interesting twists they were though.
The hero Bartholomew had to learn to trust God as an invalid, and i think it was thoughtful that he had many friends to point him in that direction.
My favourite character-Windwalker.
Favourite Line-'All in the service of Him to whom be glory forever'.
For me the book is a great adventure of Love(both of God and of man) and of friendship. And it was a goodread.

From the Author

I began writing this book more than twenty years ago. It started out as a fantasy work but my interests changed to historical fiction. I wanted strong female characters as well as men who learn to deal with difficult circumstances that restrict their usual strengths and force them to rely on others. The women help the men realize their strength comes from God and doesn't depend on physical ability. We lived in the southwest for six years and I loved the landscape and culture.

5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Mystery that Kept my Attention June 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Send a White Rose is a delightful story set in territorial New Mexico. A popular judge barely escapes with his life following an assassination attempt. A prime suspect is the brother of the woman who travelled to Santa Fe as a potential bride for the judge. The mystery of who wants the judge dead is intertwined with the complications of his recovery and romance. The author did a great job of capturing the attitudes of the people of that time period, giving her story an authentic feel. She also beautifully brought her characters to life, and kept my interest with unusual plot twists. In between the times I was actually reading the book, I found myself thinking about the characters and wondering what was going to happen next. I recommend this highly for any lover of Christian historical fiction.

4.0 out of 5 stars The true heroine of the story August 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was a little disappointed at how the couple interacted with each other. She fell in love with him through running his home, he did not fall in love with her through interaction, he settle for her when his friend turned down his proposal. I would have like for her to visit him at the hospital more often as a stranger instead of just twice.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable Read August 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The best part of this story for me was the vast array of characters. I was particularly fond of Leah Master's brother, Randall, and liked his part in solving the mystery of the plot. Though I did not agree with all elements of the Christian Faith presented, overall it worked well with the story and didn't seem out of place. Setting was good. Overall, an enjoyable read for a few hours of my time.
