Colmer begins with the very basic information of what a personal computer is, what software is, modems, booting up, what the Internet and the Web are, what a browser is, how email works, attaching a file to email, and gives the reader clear, concise, practical answers to hundreds of other computer related questions. The Senior's Guide To Easy Computing is further enhanced for the older reader with a large print text for easier reading. The Senior's Guide To Easy Computing is quite emphatically the best and most "reader friendly" how-to introduction and guide to operating a computer for seniors published to date.

A friend recommended this book, The Senior's Guide to Easy Computing, for my 80 year old mother who loves computers. I reviewed it and found it to be the perfect Christmas gift for her. It is very easy to read and it includes all of the basic techno jargon that she needs to remember when using her computer. It's a definite buy!

By the way, I also learned one or two things from reading it... and I consider myself computer literate!

I really was hesitant to get a computer because I was afraid I could not learn to use it. This book really helped me get started and over the fear hurdle.

After having purchased a couple of books to help senior citizens understand their computers I found this one the easiest to understand. It's not filled with computer lingo and if followed step by step it will lead anyone into complete understanding of how to do the basics with a computer. I highly recommend this for both senior citizens and newbies just purchasing a computer.

Got this book for my mom, who is not computer literate. She was able to find out many things from the book, so it is a good reference for someone who knows little about computers.

Good book to help us over 50 year old folks that don't spend alot of time on the computer.And,it gives information to help make it easier for us to understand and want to use our computers more.

The product took a while to ship but once it did, it was here very quickly and in great shape. Gave the book to my mother and she's made great use of it.

Item as described, w/ super-fast shipping. Book arrived in excellent condition; and it covers topics that will be most helpful in making sense of a new tool. Table of contents especially well organized/laid out; will help to quickly find answers regarding new concepts.

It lacks enough detail to use functions that it describes. Has no pictures to illustrate. Frustrating to find it mostly a glossary of terms but very few specific instructions on how to use the computer. Would not recommend this book.
