Great Microphone,

I'm a professional videographer and I bought this mic to go with my Sennheiser ew100ENG G2 wireless system. This mic isn't a wireless mic, but it can be turned into one, how? Well I found out that it's much cheaper to buy this mic and plug in my Plug-in Transmitter (that came with the Sennheiser ew100ENG G2 wireless system) to make this mic wireless. The Plug-in Transmitter will power this mic, it really is a smart choice to buy. Gets GREAT GREAT Professional Sound, it's small, built very very WELL, and is a must for videographers who don't want to spend $345 on a wireless mic. If you do want to spend that kind of momney buy the Sennheiser SKM100G2 Handheld Transmitter with MD835 Microphone Capsule. But this one will work just fine for me for a fraction of the price.

Having been a solo singer/guitarist for many years, I've tried 'em all; 57's, 58's, AKG's, etc... The Sennheiser E825-S has one of the cleanest, clearest, and best sounding vocal characteristics in a microphone I've ever experienced. Not only a nice looking microphone, the E825-S is built like a tank--solid, dependable, and worth every penny.

Got a great deal on this mic. Recommend to everyone. The thing is that they come up with a new one once in a while, 815, 825, 835, 845 and so on. So unless you need the newest model, the basic one is fine. However, having a switch is crucial. Anyway, I got a great deal of this one because the newer ones came out. You can basically spend 50 ~ 190 for a dynamic mic. Might as well get one that's well made, but you won't cry as much if your friends or their kids drop the mic! :) P.s. don't forget to get an mic stand adaptor as this mic (a German one) uses 3/8 crew to the mic stand, and most us mic stand is a 5/8. So go to musiciansfriends and get a On-Stage Stands Mic Screw Adapter (so you won't have to delay the gratification)!
