For the price, nothing compares,

Anybody who has bought headphones in the $10-30 range has probably experienced the same thing I have: lousy sound. I listened to a friend's set of high-end Sennheiser headphones last year and the brand name stuck in my head. So a few weeks ago I decided to buy a set of headphones and went for the low end of the brand I knew. It was a good thing I did.First, the cord is of good length, 10 feet. This wasn't a big concern as I was originally planning on using these at work but just for fun I decided to test them on my home stereo system (Harman/Kardon) and a DVD (The Matrix, what else!). I put the volume to a level that would normally get readings on a Richter scale and let it rip. I was amazed at the clarity of the sound, richness of the bass, and above all, no distortion. That was something I didn't expect from a $20 pair of headphones. Needless to say, these haven't made it into work with me yet as they reach to my couch just fine. I still watch movies without the headphones when I can, but at night they're perfect. Another great thing about these are don't get uncomfortable during extended periods of time. If you're looking for some great quality, low priced headphones, these are the ones you need.

Very Nice Headphones for the Price,

I purchased these headphones for home use with my Sony Walkman CD player. I would rate the sound quality as very high. They are much, much better sounding than the standard issue headphones that come with most personal listening devices. They fit snuggly, but not too tightly as to be uncomfortable, even for extended periods. The cord is nice and long and thicker than most, so it doesn't tangle. My cord attaches to both earpieces, not just the left earpiece, but this is not a problem. I would not recommend purchasing these if you intend to use them while exercising, jogging, ect., because they are too large and would be too hot. These headphones seem to be a very good value given their price.

Impressive,

I must say that the sound quality is very impressive. The audio is very crisp and natural. Most of the other headphones I tried are just bassy and muddy. Because of that, it may take you a little while to get use to the sound. I've been using Sony for the past 6 years, i must say that i'm incredibly disappointed with Sony's inferior sound quality (MDR-700, who would have thought)I do however disagree with the editorial review about the limited high frequencies: 20kHz is more than enough, as a matter of fact people who could hear at this frequency should consider themselves very lucky. headphones that could output mid-20kHz range wouldn't make a difference to most people, as the majority wouldn't pick up anything at those frequencies anyway. So the high-frequency response of these headphones is not all that limited, in my opinion, its just about right :-)

Great for the Money I spent,

How good your headphones will sound depends a lot on the system you plug it into. This above all things is important when looking at the darn things. If you try to plug these into a $15 cd player, they will sound awful. When hooked to a fine system, they are absolutely fantastic.1.They are really light. 2. THe cord is super long 3. They deliver great bass but can still do justice to classical and jazz 4. The foam cushion can be uncomfortable at times. 5. THEY PRODUCE CRISP SOUND. I would suggest spending more money for the hd500 series. They are a lot more comfortable. THese are really good for walking around town with.

The best headphones under $30 on the market!,

This review is from: Sennheiser HD433 Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones (Electronics)
These headphones are without a doubt the best under $30 headphones on the market. The sound is actually more full than a very expensive pair of Sony noise-reduction headphones that I wear. I thought initially that the pads on the earphones were really huge and unnecessary, but they make the headphones extremely comfortable and suitable for long-term use. I've now had them at my computer and they've replaced several pairs of Sony headphones that I previously used -- they simply don't compare. You can't go wrong with these headphones.

A sturdy pair of headphones,

I bought these headphones for use with my walkman about two years ago and they have been great the whole time the quality is very good. They are a little bassey but nothing to be worried about what is most impressive is how resilient they are. I have taken them travelling on my year out to Asia and South America where they sat in a well stuffed rucksack and they still work fine. They even got sand in them. A good design area is the fact that the speakers can detatch from the head band very easily thus protecting them in a bag and then they take up less space. The cables go to both ears not just the left but that isn't a problem. A great buy!

Great Product for a Great Price,

I bought these headphone to listen to music and block out chatter at work. The most important factor for me when deciding which headphones to buy was comfort. I have had these headphone for about 7 months now and they're great. They are ultra-comfortable and I can keep them on for the greater part of the day without even realizing that I have them on. The only negative thing that I have to say about this set is that they are not very effective at preventing sound from leaking out. So if you like to listen to your music at a really high volume, people around you will be disrupted. Other than that, these headphones work really well (sound quality is great) and [the cost], are a great deal.

You truly won't believe the sound quality that you get from these ... headphones. Deep bass, treble that isn't "tinny," and comfortable enough for long listening sessions. These 'phones handle jazz, classical and hard rock with equal ease, and the open-air design means you won't be totally cut off from the world! I've been using mine for the past three days, listening to MP3's through my Mac, and I could scarcely tell a difference when I plugged the headphones into my component CD player. I can't wait to try them with a Walkman on my noisy bus commute!

Excellent Sound for the Money, but...,

These little guys blow away all of the standard headphones that come with various portable units and computers. I'm sure that if you want to spend more, you could get better sound. But these have a nice spacious, well-balanced sound. I've tried them on both jazz and classical, using my Walkman with Bass Boost, and I'm very pleased. And they are *very* comfortable. They seem to float on your ears. Now for the "but...". The cord is heavy and 10 feet long. You might look at that as a positive, but I've found myself tripping over it. It's a lot of extra cord to deal with if you just want to put a walkman in your pocket. On the other hand, if you want to use it attached to a computer or other non-portable player, that would be an advantage. I also wish that there was a volume control/mute on the cord, and I wish that the cord went only to one earpiece, rather than running up to both. But these are very small complaints. For the cost of this set, it's unreasonable to expect to have both great sound and convenience features.

I am not an headphone expert, and when I bought those I was looking for good sound quality and especially comfort. This is exactly what I got: those headphones adapt perfectly to your ears and the pressure is evenly distributed, so you don't feel them at all. On top of it you get a super long cord, which makes them very convenient, and an adaptor to plug the headphones into anything between a laptop to a hi-tech tv. And the price is unbeatable. An excellent deal!
