Great Birding Microphone,

I had this recommended as the Microphone for bird recording. Sensitive and rugged. It lives up to the billing.
I had a moment of panic as I initially could not get any sound out of it but found my recorder needed high impendance and this is low. A transformer from radio shack fixed that. A shock suspension system is required especially as I use in field and any bump or even rubbing of the microphone cable is picked up.

Great Mic for the Money,

I use a Sennhieser MK-416 as sound man for a video production company, so obviously I've been spoiled with the superb sound of this excellent mic. I didn't expect much from the ME66, but was pleasantly surprised--great construction, really nice angle of coverage, and a very pleasant, full sound. Had a slight peaking problem a first, but learned to work with it. The sound is not as full as the MK-416, but it's half the price--! Highly recommended--even if you upgrade at a future date I doubt you'll want to sell this mic--it's easy to get attached to. Be sure to buy the K6 module---
