Pretty decent headphones... Depending on what you pay!,

If you pay the right price for these headphones, they are totally worth it. I purchased them from the Apple store the other day, and paid nearly $70. Then I found them online for $30, with no tax and free shipping. At $70, I can't say that I'm fully satisfied. But at the $30 price point, these headphones are great! Long story short, I will be returning my headphones to Apple and keeping pair I have purchased online. But enough of my shopping experience... The sound is pretty decent, compared to what I have found with over-the-ear headphones. And they ARE fully adjustable. The previous reviewer apparently didn't notice that you can easily bend and shape them to very comfortably fit your ear. I also tried Philips ActionFit Earhook Sports Headset (SHQ3007), which are around the same price point. I much prefer the Sennheiser over them. If you're a runner and you are looking for decent headphones at a good price, I would definitely recommend these.

Painful to wear, painful to listen to,
This review is from: Sennheiser OMX 680 In-Ear Sports Earclip Headphone with Volume Control and Adjustable Earclips (Electronics)
I bought these Headphones for running and had very high expectations. When I first got them out of the box I was impressed with what I saw, however this didn't last long. When i first wore them I found they just would't stay on, once I bent the ear hooks to suit my ears they did manage to stay there but didn't take long to work their way out again whilst on the run. This does prove to take a bit of mastering to get right but is achievable in the end. When worn on my longer runs I found my ears to be quite sore and painful when taking the headphones off. The sound quality is OK, it's crisp and very clear but there is no bass whatsoever and quite painful to listen to at the top end. Ears ringing is never a good sign. Yes they are water and sweat resistant but once they do get wet this effects the sound quality quite dramatically and takes about two days to get back to normal again. Bit of a bummer if you run every day. I wouldn't recommend these headphones for comfort and sound quality reasons however the volume control proved to be very handy.

Sound great, but very poor fit and comfort,

I originally intended to buy a different set, but went with these instead for what I presumed would be a more secure fit with the over-the-ear clips.Mistake. First, I can't say enough about the sound quality: it really is very good. I'm sure there is better out there, but for sport headphones at this price, it is fantastic, and far better than the standard iPod/iPhone earbuds. If only good sound were enough...but for the intended usage of these headphones, it simply doesn't make up for the flaws. First, as other reviewers (oh, how I wish I had read these first and not bought in a store, assuming that they would be just as good as the other Sennheiser's in the line) said, the buds are simply too big for most ears - at least with the rubber rings on. They are better when you take them off, but the hard plastic is uncomfortable and doesn't stay put. Your ears will be sore and tender for a but after taking them off, rubber coverings or not. Second, the over the ear clips are supposed to be adjustable - and they sort of are - but this, too, doesn't cut it. Adjustments are sloppy and don't stay in place, and you get so little control over how to adjust them, it just doesn't help. Furthermore, they are a bit tricky to put on in the first place, no matter how you have the earclips adjusted. Once on they are difficult to adjust, and putting them on, you often end up messing with the way you had adjusted them already, just to get them on. I use these for a variety of things, including running outdoors, biking outdoors, running on a treadmill, and lifting weights. Running, indoors and out, is the worst, as no matter how you adjust them, they work themselves loose, if not outright fall off. A little better on the treadmill than outdoors (due to the shock absorption of the treadmill, no doubt) but still can be a hassle, especially on faster runs. And forget about using these with sunglasses, unless you want them to pop off even more when running. I regret this purchase, which is a shame, as I have generally been very pleased with Sennheiser products in the past. At least they sound good, when I'm not fumbling with them trying to keep them on.

I've had these for about 4 months now and there are some issues that need to be discussed. These headphones are quite good. The sound quality is good and the option to make the cord shorter for armbands is very nice. However, the adjustable earpieces tend to be hit or miss. In addition, I wear glasses so trying to bend them so my glasses didn't bump them out was not only annoying but really should have been taken into design consideration. TLDR; Good headphones but might want to consider getting the behind the head version. If you wear glasses, DON'T buy these headphones.

This is a first class product. It stays put no matter what physical activity involved. Well constructed with strong materials, I'd look no further. The only "bug" is that the cable gets tangled when you store the headphones, and I'm lazy! Bravo Sennheiser

As I sit here listening to my new headphones, I wonder to myself "how could someone rate these headphones at 1 star?" I ordered these before I read the reviews, which is a terrible habit, but in this case has worked out just fine. I have very small ears, and have had trouble with headphones in the past hurting my ears, and though these are not the most comfortable they stay in while I run. As far as I'm concerned its much more comfortable for them to hurt a little (very little) in my ear than for them to be falling out as I run. To address the sound quality: Its brilliant. I do some home recording, I can't tell a difference between my nice speakers and my headphones. The sound is very true to the recording, and if you need more bass then you can do that on your iPod, or what have you. BESIDES THAT: everything is perfect on these headphones, as far as I can tell. The chord length is perfect. I thought the clip would be awkward, but I love it. You do have to reset the ear pieces every time you put them on, but it doesn't take two seconds to do. I have not gotten them wet yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Sennheiser/Addidas have really thought of everything! The big kicker is that I got these for half price! I would have paid full price for these now that I know how great they are.

Sennheiser and sports don't mix,
By KJ McStiffler (Perth, WA, Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sennheiser OMX 680 In-Ear Sports Earclip Headphone with Volume Control and Adjustable Earclips (Electronics)
I bought these headphones, actually giving Sennheiser a 'second chance'. I have always used Sennheiser for Studio Headphones, In-ear-monitors and street phones, but after purchasing the behind-the-neck PMX80 that were terribly uncomfortable, I was never to go back again... untilI then saw that there was an Adidas range, and I thought if Adidas put their name on it then it must at least be comfortable, the sound quality just goes without saying with choosing Sennheiser. The OMX680 looked much more appealing than the previously failed behind the neck version. How wrong I was, I have wasted over AU$200 on sports headphones that this company is constantly marketing as "comfortable" "great fit" and "stays in" The ear hooks are bendable and are meant to be a 'one size fits all' kind of deal, but when you bend it to fit your ear they spring straight back again causing the bloody things to fall out of your ear!! And this is just standing still, I couldn't even imagine trying to run with them!! While your pushing, prodding and bending your way to find a comfortable fit, your ears are getting damaged and the only relief is to take them off. As for the sound quality, I believe it is quite good if you hold/push them into your ear, great bass response etc. But otherwise you just get a bit of low quality top end because they aren't in your ear properly. I do not recommend these to anybody unless you have abnormally large ears, you may be in with a bit of luck but for the others, keep on your search, I know I am

A very fine pair of in-ear headphones,

This review is from: Sennheiser OMX 680 In-Ear Sports Earclip Headphone with Volume Control and Adjustable Earclips (Electronics)
When it comes to headphones you have two choices in sound quality: The very expensive "audiophile" style from major speaker manufactures, and everyone else. The sound quality of this product is spectacular for the price. I cant speak to the fit for everyone as I have very plain and easy-going ears that accommodate almost anything. I love the volume control and about the only thing more I can ask for is maybe a slightly more ergonomic carrying case. It takes a little time and some manipulation to get the fit right around the back of the ear but once you monkey around a bit it should be no problem. I read a few of the negative reviews and felt the need to put up a 5-star review to help anyone who may be having second thoughts something to consider. I have listened to a wide variety of phones in my lifetime and unless youre in the market for the aforementioned "audiophile" type headphone, this pair is very much worth the $40 or less you can pick them up for.

I bought these earphones because sony and panasonic could not handle my training for a marathon. These are adjustable to be comfortable for anyone. The sound is alone is worth the extra money. I would give 5 stars, but I have to see how long they last.
