Design
Like all the earphones in Sennheiser's Sport Line collection, the OMX70 is designed for rugged indoor and outdoor activity. Whether you're in the dance studio, on the running trail, or in the weight room, you can stay focused through your entire workout with your favorite music. The OMX70 is also sweat and water resistant, so you can extend the life of your earphones by washing them. And when you're not listening to your portable device, coil up your earphones and store them in the protective carrying case included with purchase so that they don't get tangled up with your keys, cell phone, or other accessories.
Intended Use
Of course, you can also listen to tunes while you're running errands or just relaxing. The OMX70 is great for use with all MP3, CD, DVD, and MD players, as well as with all portable game systems. So now you can get great sound and stay connected and entertained no matter what you're doing.
So go ahead, break a sweat. With your own set of Sennheiser OMX70 Sport Line earphones.
What's in the Box

The wires wore in numerous locations in less than 2 months. The gage is too small to hold up to active use. I would strongly suggest looking at an alternative. The sound quality is good which is typical of Sennheiser, but they have to improve the materials to justify the purchase.

Good sound, horrible fit!,

I thought that the over-the-ear design would be the way to go for a pair of gym earphones, but I've found that it's more of a hindrance than a help. The ear buds always come out of my ears - sure, the over-the-ear arm keeps them sitting ON my ear but without the buds being right into your ear canal, you get no bass. This results in a very washed out, tinny sound. If you hold them in your ear (or if you're not moving), then they sound great - but unfortunately, my experience (over about six months) is that they just don't fit properly. The over-the-ear arm puts the ear buds at the wrong angle, which makes them pop out. I suspect the twist-to-fit MX75 ear buds - Sennheiser MX75 Twist-To-Fit In-Ear Stereo Sport Headphones - would be a better purchase. I would not buy these again.

I've tried a lot of headphones and earphones (see my other reviews), and these are the best, IMO, for a pair of casual earphones. They go on easily, they stay on very comfortably, and they sound good. The next best option, the Bang & Olufsen A8's (I had a pair of those until they were stolen), sound a bit better, look more refined and look sturdier, but these Sennheisers cost a third as much, go on easier, and are more comfortable. Most any clip-on pair doesn't sound as good as in-ear phones, particularly the bass, but then again sometimes one would like to hear one's surroundings. I think the sound of clip-on earphones is better with more pressure pushing them onto the ear. These OMX70 are gentle, in contrast the more-firmer-clamped PMX70s sound a bit better at the cost of getting uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Also, the OMX70s take a surprising amount of power from my iPod, although they still play as loudly as I'd like. The styling is gaudy, but my family hasn't complained yet. These come with a cool case.
