These work..., October 22, 2008
This review is from: Sennheiser OMX80 Sport Series II Stereo Earbud Clip On Headphones (Electronics)
I have used the OMX 70 Sports for 4 years. Decided to try the 50% cheaper Nike SHJ036 Flexible Earhook Headphones and the Nike SHJ035 Flexible Earhook Headphones. Bottom line, after 2 weeks of trial, I'm back to the new OMX80 and I've found that you get what you pay for. * The earhooks on the OMX80 are an upgrade over its prior model and substantially closer/tighter and more comfortable fit than the Nike product. I also found the in-ear pieces for OMX80 softer in feel than the Nikes. And, you are able to customize the fit with the malleable earhooks much more so than the Nikes. * Bass sound is clear, deep and rich compared to the tinny sound in the Nike headset. No comparisons here - next to the fit and feel, this feature is by far the single biggest differentiator between the OMX80 and the Nike products. OMX80 is way out front in sound quality. * Two color choices, florescent orange or a powder blue. You either love the loud colors or not. * I have run for well over an hour on rough trail runs and found the OMX80 to be sweat-proof, secure and comfortable to wear. * OMX80 is lightweight and found no substantially difference in weight between the Nikes. * As far as durability, so far so good. However, it should be noted that my experience has been mixed with the Sennheiser on this front with wire breaks at the base of the connector in 6 months to 12 months of use with some models while others worked flawlessly as long as 2 years. * The cable connects snugly to the IPOD and IPHONE. However, one of my frustrations with the cable is its length - it is seemingly designed for 7 footers. And I find because of its length, the cable tangles and is susceptible to pinching and tearing (because I'm too impatient to untangle it before working out) This is a great product.

Good sound and comfort, but..., January 31, 2009
This review is from: Sennheiser OMX80 Sport Series II Stereo Earbud Clip On Headphones (Electronics)
I am happy with the sound quality and comfort of these ear phones, however, I would echo the fact that the do not seem to be stable in my ears during serious workouts, like trail running. I wind up fidgeting with them when I really get sweaty. My thought is that you can only expect so much stability from a clip on style ear phone no matter how good the design. Also, I was very confused by the asymetric cable. I had to go to their website to get the explaination: Important wearing note! The longer side of the asymetrical cable goes behind the neck and into the opposite ear. This mimics a single sided cable and reduces the amount of cable in front of the wearer during physical activity. This is a safety and ergonomic feature. Please contact Sennheiser with any questions about product fit.

Close but not quite, May 15, 2009
This review is from: Sennheiser OMX80 Sport Series II Stereo Earbud Clip On Headphones (Electronics)
I've had these for a little over a month. The sound quality is exceptional for sport earphones, they stay in my ear well, and I like that the ear hook can be shaped to fit your ear. My only major complaint is the wire set-up. The left earbud cord is short and the right is extra long, so if I put the cord in from of my body, the right earbud cord bounces around my mouth when I run, if I put it behind my neck, it tends to catch a little and feels like its pulling at my ear. Its manageable, but an annoyance.
