I was very impressed with the bass, but my main gripe is that there is a TON of distortion especially in the mid/highs. So to start off for this review, all of my music is in FLAC format and I use a Fiio e10 DAC which doesn't matter as much for small earbuds as they don't require the power to drive like a full sized set, but it does put different headphones on an even playing field with low distortion amplification.

Plain and simple, music with these get muddy and it ruins the sound. As mentioned above there is heavy distortion in the mid/highs. Especially in the vocals in all genres, the "t" "s" "ff" sound are produced with that terrible distortion "hiss" that poor quality speakers replicate. Other than the distortion, I found the treble quite "sharp" and that grew fatiguing. Even with the large amount of bass, the mids were recessed enough that it was just tiring.I am not sure if these are real or knock off's, but if these were really $180 headphones at one time it's very possible they are knockoff's with a "somewhat decent" sound. They aren't bad, but these are simply not that great as in the description. There is a reason you can't find much info about them online. I have been significantly happier with my Klipsch S4's; more comfortable and significantly better sounding.

Great bass and good fit. Changes the sound of music a bit. Wires dont tangle up and the three different ear sizes help fit into the ear canal.

I like the sound of these earphones. Nothing really blows me away about them. They can get a little muddy on the high end. When listening at a louder volume, the simblance is quite noticeable. They are not as loud as some other earphones I have. I have to put the volume higher to get the same kind of output. For everyday earphones they will do.

I wear earbuds *constantly* and I had a cheap set I liked but they were not very durable so I would buy replacements a lot. I got to the point where I always had a spare set for when the current ones broke. They were only $8 so it wasn't too expensive to keep buying more but I was always on the lookout for a new set that I liked that would maybe last longer.

I always found something wrong with these new sets, crappy audio volume or quality, thin cords that tangled too easily, poor fit in my ears, etc.

But I finally found a great pair that has lasted two months so far with no signs of wear or degrading quality. These Sennheiser CX 870s are loud, clear, durable, and they fit well. The noise attenuation is great too. I'm so glad I'm not throwing money away on those Samsungs I used to use.

For the price I paid I haven't heard a better set of in ear headphones. Great bass, good mids and a decent high end (not alot of air or sparkle but still very satisfying). Definitely worth it. I mainly use them with my smartphone but tried them out with my dedicated headphone amp and they definitely opened up.

The bass in these things is not to deep....just perfect. They block out outside noise so all you hear is good quality sounding music.

First, I don't know why people give high rate for this product at JR. I bought this product from JR on Black Friday. It's $30. I use it to listen to music, but I found out this product has a problem. The bass is excellent. However, the mid and high are distorted. When I turn up the volume, I don't feel comfortable. The mid and high are too sharp. They seems at the edge. They sting my ears. I studied Electronic before. I know the mid should be bright but not sharp. This earphones cannot be used for a long time. You should low the volume to avoid hurting your ears at the low volume you can use it for hours.. If you want to spend $30-40, don't buy this product. It's not worth $30.
