Left side died,

Sounded pretty good at first. Took a little getting used to - this is the first headset like this that I have every used. But after the first time out, they felt fine. FWIW I have a large head. It has one wire from the set, so there is less chaos than with the ones that use wires from each earpiece. I used mine for power walking without any movement issues.
A bit over a month later it seemed like the bass wasn't as loud, and then the left side quit a month and a half after I ordered them, so just beyond the Amazon return policy. :( Emailed Sennheiser just now for service since they have a two year warranty. Since this is easily the most expensive headset I've ever owned, it's a bit disheartening to have them die so quick. I'll update once Sennheiser gets back to me. EDIT: Sennheiser replaced this with a brand new PMX 680, and they are outstanding! I really like them. Off to review them now.

well - looks good - but hurt my ears.
after one run - some water got in the earphone which is very annoying as I bought it exactly due to its sweat resistant capabilities.

This was the second one that has broken at the earpiece. Good sound but cheap material and no carrying case

Works exactly as described. Sound quality and fit is excellent. The only difference that I can see between this and the previous generation (green) is the color of course and the sound quality is better. Other than that they are identical.

These headphones are great for wearing while running. They are comfortable in my ears, don't move once in place and have superior sound considering their size. The oblong, up-down shape of the earpiece works very, very well. The behind the neck band sometimes touches my shoulders when I look up or when I bend down, but that is very minor (and I should be looking straight ahead anyway while I run). Even the cord is slightly heavier than some others so it doesn't tangle as easily as others do. The little clip supplied is key to keeping the cord where you want it, so be sure and use it. It's also nice to know that they can witstand rain too although I have yet to test that feature. All in all, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.

I owned a pair of these in 2009, and I used them extensively - running, commuting, and at the office. When they finally broke after about 18 months of heavy, heavy use, I figured they were good for a 2nd pair. When I recieved my new PMX80's, I could tell immediately that the quality had gone down. The plastic was cheaper feeling, and the fit was not as comfortable as my original pair. Even more significantly, the sound quality had dropped off substantially. Against my better judgement, I didn't return them immediately, figuring I would give them a try. Within a month, the sound was failing in one of the channels, and I had to ninja the cord to get them to play in stereo. I ran about 3-10 miles thrice weekly, and also listening during my subway commute, and while office working. Over the next month it got worse before the channel totally failed. By then the seller claimed it was too late to return them. One of my few truly negative experiences with a pair of headphones. After more research I ended up discovering the Philips SHQ4000/28 Neckband Headphones - they fulfill the same niche except actually, you know, work and sound good.

I have used numerous headphones/ear buds for running and find these to be the best so far. Single wire feature is great and as many report they stand up to light rinse with water. Personally I think the sound is very good. I broke my first pair at the pin that inserts into the mp3 player after 1 yr.They have a 2 yr warenty and I may have been able to return them for repairs but thought I could fix them. Like so many of my fix it attempts I ended up with a mess.I had no qualms about buying my 2nd pair as the pin failure was probably my fault. I find the sound, construction, and fit very good. I've worn them under bike helmets and with glasses and they are comfortable.

These headphones are comfortable and stay in place for use during running. Sound quality is as good as can be expected for music while running.

I purchased these mainly for running and cycling. I have had issues with ear buds falling off when I run. These seemed like they would fix my problem. They did. However, they tend to get very uncomfortable after 2 hours. They just made my ears cranky when I wore them for any extended period of time (over 2 hours).
