Sounded pretty good at first. Took a little getting used to - this is the first headset like this that I have every used. But after the first time out, they felt fine. FWIW I have a large head. It has one wire from the set, so there is less chaos than with the ones that use wires from each earpiece. I used mine for power walking without any movement issues.

A bit over a month later it seemed like the bass wasn't as loud, and then the left side quit a month and a half after I ordered them, so just beyond the Amazon return policy. :( Emailed Sennheiser just now for service since they have a two year warranty. Since this is easily the most expensive headset I've ever owned, it's a bit disheartening to have them die so quick. I'll update once Sennheiser gets back to me.

EDIT: Sennheiser replaced this with a brand new PMX 680, and they are outstanding! I really like them. Off to review them now.

I have been looking for some great workout headphones for awhile and finally decided to go with these. They weren't awful, but after about 2 months they shorted out. I don't know if it was because of sweat or what, but they no longer work and I didn't get that much use out of them. Sound was fine and the comfort was great, but poor construction quality.

I thought I was doing myself a favor when I bought these headphones. They appeared to meet my criteria for a robust pair of headphones. (1) They stayed in my ears nicely during some intense workouts (P90X and P90X+). (2) They have a heavy duty cord. (3) The cord enters on one side as opposed to both sides. So less chance of getting caught on a weight or something. (4) They can take a lot of sweat and be rinsed with water and still function fine.

Well, after 2.5 months of use the left side stopped working. I am very disappointed since I paid a decent amount for these headphones. What is frustrating is that I have a cheaper sony brand that I have had for over a year now that's still working and my more costly ones stopped after 2.5 months. I only replaced the sony brand with these because the sony brand would not sit in my ear correctly and kept falling out. This in turn, caused me to either turn up the volume or stop and constantly fix them back in place.

In addition, the PMX80 Sport Series II headphones sound always seemed muffled and even more muffled when I sweat a lot due to how it fit in my ears. I could never find a sweet spot even though they fit firmly in my ear.

I would not recommend this pair to anyone who works out.

These are my second airphones for the last year. The first ones were replaced by good people of Amazon. The wire connecting 2 dynamics got out of the plastic frame next day. Today dynamic itself separated from the frame. First time I bought sennheiser product 15 years ago. They still works. Well it's too bad that the brand became so lousy!

This was the second one that has broken at the earpiece. Good sound but cheap material and no carrying case

These are the same as Sennheiser PMX80 In-Ear Sport Series II Behind the Head Earphones and Sennheiser PMX80 ECO In-Ear Eco Friendly Sport Headphone (Grey/orange).

The first few times I wore these, they were awesome. They are the perfect design for wearing while running. After only a few uses, however, one side has quit working ... unless you hold the jack in the plug constantly. The casing where the jack plugs into the MP3 player is flexible and seems to lead to the break-down of the connection inside, causing it to cut in and out with the movement of running. Not cool. I will be emailing Amazon next to get my refund!

Update: I was too late for a free return, so I'll just throw them out. We looked inside the casing and the connections were all broken. Very disappointed as these headphones were SO GOOD at the beginning. IF YOU BUY THESE, TRY REINFORCING THE AUDIO JACK END WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE OR SOMETHING TO PROTECT THE CONNECTION!

The search for the perfect running headphones continues ...

Works exactly as described. Sound quality and fit is excellent. The only difference that I can see between this and the previous generation (green) is the color of course and the sound quality is better. Other than that they are identical.
