This is a four-song EP, Senor And The Queen, from New Brunswick, New Jersey's The Gaslight Anthem who have acomplished a lot despite the fact that they only have one full-length to their name (2007's Sink Or Swim). The band have written songs that are dripping with so much authenticity it seems they would take decades of hard living to craft. They have played over 200 shows in 2007 alone with some of the biggest names in the punk scene such as Against Me!, The Loved Ones and more. This EP was recorded during a rare few days off in Austin, Texas in 2007. The EP shows the progression the band has made in literally every waking moment on the road in 2007. The band is made up of vocalist/guitarist Brian Fallon, bassist Alex Levine, drummer Benny Horowitz and guitarist Alex Rosamilia. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Their 1st CD, Sink or Swim, demonstrated their talent. This mini-EP, recorded in Texas while on tour, shows their range. This 4 track CD has 4 different sounding tunes all of which are thoroughly enjoyable to the end. This was very much a warm up for Gaslight's follow up, 2nd full length CD: The '59 Sound. A great purchase...get it! Its well worth it.

Buy this CD/EP.
These guys are so good.
Got into them with "59 Sound" and backtracked to "Sink or Swim", then "Senor and the Queen".
Their CDs/MP3s have been in constant rotation for the last year.
Wife heard them and got hooked as well.
They are supposedly back in the studio working on a new CD.
Casn't wait to hear it.

If you've never heard them before, give them a listen.
I always describe these guys like this:

Imagine Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty being born in the mid-70's and growing up around 80/90s punk, grunge, alternative and older classic rock. Combine all of that with a dash of blues and even a bit of country thrown in here and there (sounds like a mud pie). It's modern rock with classic roots, spun in an original and genuine sound that is their own...these guys have heart but are rough enough on the edges to keep it rockin'. They put on a sick live show too, check 'em out.

Don't wait one more second - get this EP now. The 4 cuts are gems and their little tribute to Southside Johnny makes it just perfect. I've got my white T-shirt and jeans on and I'm cruising the beaches of Jersey to find a place to sleep all night. THESE JERSEY BOYS are THE REAL THING - just ask the "Boss" and your ears.
