After reading the patent application for this product, I conclude that the salty "tastants" contain quite a lot of MSG or other free glutamate as flavor enhancers. Hence my thought that results might be the same with "Sazon". The salty "tastants", all followed by the word 'flavor', by month, are: cheddar cheese, onion, horseradish, ranch, taco, and parmesan. The patent application states that the constituents of these flavors are preferably generally recognized as safe by the FDA. (as an aside, there have been studies showing a link between MSG consumption and reduced body fat and weight...along with studies with contradictory results).

Is it a bad idea to sprinkle MSG on everything one eats? There lies controversy. Does an excess of glutamate surrounding a neuron cause cell death? Absolutely. Is this process implicated in neurodegenerative diseases? Definitely. Does that glutamate come from the MSG and other sources of free glutamate in our diets? That is a larger issue than I want to attempt to address. But if you are trying to answer this question for yourself, I would suggest looking into ppl like Blaylock (who thinks that MSG is a causative factor in neurogenerative disease), his background, where he has published his papers, and other theories he holds dear, before necessarily believing that MSG is poison. I am not saying it isn't, simply encouraging consumers to educate themselves before making decisions.

Stepping away from that particular fray to address the sweet "tastants"... They are, by month: coca (sic), spearmint, banana, strawberry, raspberry, and malt (again, all followed by the word 'flavor'). The implication is that these, too, enhance the flavor of the food and help one to eat less of it.

Seriously! How could I have been so stupid as to think that this product would work. Decreases appetite? NOT a CHANCE! I read the positive reviews prior to purchasing Sensa. I do believe the Sensa manufacturers got some of their employees to write these fake reviews. I noticed NO change in my appetite...nada...zip... nothing. I used it exactly how instructed. Don't waste your money, folks. Yet another unfortunate scam on the American public.

I tried this for 3 mo. I gained 4lbs in that time, which I believe would have been the result with or without this product. Essentially, it did nothing but cost me money. Oh well, on to the next big diet fad! lol

This company honestly., err dishonestly thinks it can pull the wool over every consumers eyes and they are milking everyone for the big New Years Resolution band wagon of weight loss gimmicks that simply don't work. come on people wake up and pull down the veil to see this company only wants your money and there is no concern for your health at all. I tried this for 6 weeks late last year and it doesn't work also it is hard to get a hold of customer service to stop charging the credit card $230.00 (they want you to buy more to compliment the so called sprinkle stuff), and no surprise here no pound or inches melted away.., not even a micro centimeter. The tastants are awful and i detect a metallic taste (flavor chemical) to it and I remember trying the Sprinkle Thin years back (they went out of business-web shut down) and this sensa has the same concept of fudging their claim of weight loss. The tastants has monosodium glutamate (MSG); MSG is an excitotoxin, which in a nut shell means, these chemical transmitters excite your brain cells to death.
Some specific side effects and disorders related to excitotoxins include but not limited to
flushing
rapid heart
high blood pressure
asthma attack & COPD
Seizures
Brain cell death
Brain damage
Allergies
Anaphylactic Shock
Headaches (also migraines)
Stroke
Hypoglycemia
Brain Tumors

What more can I say? Another weight loss product that doesn't work. Even watching my diet, and adding the product to everything I ate didn't help. It worked like a fiber and laxative for me. Don't believe that you can eat ALL you want and sprinkle fairy dust on your food and you will lose 30 - 50 lbs. in 6 months. I stopped using Sensa and cut down on carbs and sugar, started walking regularly and lost 10 lbs in a month...no diet, no fairy magic dust, only cutting down helped me.

I thought I would Sensa starting with their starter kit since you pay for shipping only. The catch as with all these trials is that you give your credit card and authorization to buy more of the product after the trial date has passed.
Sensa is supposed to stimulate your brain into thinking that you are full after eating less food than normal and then keep you feeling fuller after your meal. I used the product EXACTLY as described for 10 days straight and got no sensation of fullness or satisfaction what-so-ever. Unless you eat a majority of your meals at home the product is very difficult to bring with you to every location that you eat other than the home. Maybe a woman that carries a purse would be better off but in my case I travel a lot and brought the product in little plastic pill bags and sheepishly sprinkled it on my food in the restaurant. But like I said it was all a waste of time as I got no benefit from it at all.
The other thing I could add in defense of the product is that I tend to eat fast and if I ate slower maybe it would work. With that being said if I ate slower and took smaller portions I would probably get full sooner without the product.
If you really want to lose weight take smaller more healthy portions, eat slower, exercise and save yourself the trouble and expense of buying this product. After the trial period they wanted 60 DOLLARS PER MONTH to continue. That's ridiculous. Plus they were very, very pushy when I tried to cancel my trial period. I finally had to tell the person that there was NOTHING she could say to keep me on board (and I hate being rude since I used to do this kind of job).
"If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is"
I feel like a total idiot falling for their claims but at least only spent 5 bucks cancelling before a renewal.
