4.0 out of 5 stars At time for help, October 30, 2000

I have read this book, it makes a mention of many examples of the bad things we do with our lifes, caused by our parents education errors or our self errors. I like tha samples of the chapter two, many of them have happened to me and, i think, to many of the readers. It makes references between the problems, the possible source of the problems and texts taken from "The Bible", helping us to undertand as well as possible all of them and tracing us a way to be more "happy".

Note: if there are grammatical errors i apologize.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed My Thinking, and My Life, April 5, 2006

This book was recommended to me by my counselor, and played a central role in helping me understand and overcome addictions and personality defects that had plagued me all my life. My core problem was over-intellectualizing my self, and Wagner's book gave me an intellectual framework that ultimately -- with prayer and therapy -- helped me surrender that mental idol and become a whole person. Obviously I still have my issues, but now at least I can tackle them as a real Somebody. I would recommend this book to anyone -- especially Christians -- that desires a holistic understanding of what it means to be a healthy human being: emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
