My 1st graders love the Oh No! game as well as using the magic wand, sing a song of sight words and lining up by sight word characteristics (guess my rule). I recommend this for 80% of the ideas in the book. Enjoy!

I teach second grade. This book is a help, but it would be better for first graders.

We gave this to our first grade teacher for Christmas. She really enjoyed it and has incorporated some of the games into her fun Friday's.

I enjoyed all the games that this workbook has for kids. It makes learning sight words much more fun for kids to learn.

This book is a fair book. As a reading specialist and first grade teacher I prefer the book, Quick Small Group Reading Activities for Struggling Students by Sandy Turley. I use this book on a daily basis and find it to be indispensable! It not only comes with many great sight word games and activities but also includes many phonemic awareness activities as well. All activities are reproducible virtually eliminating hours of prep.

I love this book; however, I wish it were in color as an e-book for the game boards so I could print and go. Who wants to work with a black and white game board? And, what Kindergarten teacher has time to sit and color all the game boards each time they need to be replaced. It would be easier to print and go if they were already in color. However, for the price, I love the book and it is super easy to navigate and use.

My daughter is in kindergarten and learning to read and this book with it's games is really helping. She loves it!
