If you are looking to sample the Senseo coffee pod flavors, this is a good way to start. You will probably find a favorite in this group, and then you can order your favorite individually. All of Senseo coffee products have been a good buy for me--I like the flavor of the coffee and the price through Amazon.com with free shipping.

I'm not sure why all the reviews are saying you need 2 pods. The first time I used it I didn't use the holder for the pods and it was horrible. But when I used the holders, and you have to make sure you use 1 pod or 2 pods, the coffee was excellent. It has a light foam on top and it's just like going to Starbucks.I wet the pod in water first, heat up my almond milk and brew it.Its very easy.I use the Senseo dark roast.

I ordered my Senseo pods through Amazon because my local grocery stopped carrying them. I'm glad I checked Amazon because they had more variety than what my grocery store offered. I like my coffee bold and these flavors don't disappoint. I'm happy with my purchase.

This is not "good" coffee; it has more in common with instant coffee than I like. The espresso and dark pods aren't too bad but the kenyan and sumatran blend have undeniable instant coffee flavor.

I love my coffee in the morning. The Dark Roast and the Espresso are my favorites. I am a coffee fan, and have had blue mountain, Cuban, Arabic, and Costa Rican coffees, as well as others. I have had a Flavia and other coffee makers. The Senseo are quick, easy and as clean as you can get, with a very good coffee. Little or no waste. Cost per pod runs around .25 cents. Travel mugs take about four pods. A cup of coffee is two pods. The pods are available in stores, but easier shipped by the sleeve, especially when on sale.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this coffee and was actually blown away by it.
I worked for three years for an internet company that sells coffee and coffee systems - just about every coffee brand you can think of, including brands such as, Starbucks, Keurig (K-cups), Gevalia, etc., etc., etc.. However, they didn't sell Senseo so I'd never tried it until now.
My husband, my brother in law (aka, the ultimate coffee snob) and I enjoyed these pods on Christmas morning and we were literally blown away by how smooth it is. My brother in law has a Keurig at home and said he actually liked this espresso roast better than what he's used to drinking. My favorite is the french roast and my husband love the Kenyan. To tell you the truth, I liked this more than the Starbucks I tend to drink at home and in my car, and the Folgers we (are forced to) drink at work.
If you are looking for a pod brewer, but aren't sure if you want to go with Keurig and Kcups, then I recommend you stop here and get the Hamilton Beach brewer and Senseo coffee now. These are so much cheaper than other systems, and this coffee is really fantastic. After all, it's really all about the coffee, anyway. Right?
Facts:
1) These Senseo pods (25 to 37 cents/pod) are much much cheaper than Kcups (60 to 79 cents/Kcup) and Gevalia (63 cents to $1.25 per pod). You do the math. Senseo is way cheaper, but doesn't taste cheap.
2) This coffee is richer and stronger than the Keurig Kcups - trust me. Green Mountain coffees (for example) tend to be weaker, and you can not make them stronger than they are. However, you can double up your Senseo pods if you want to, but I found I didn't, and I like my coffee strong.
3) Senseo pods are compostable.

I'm finding the senseo coffee is getting harder and harder to find. I know they discontinued the Senseo pod machines in North America but one would have though they would have kept selling the coffee.
Anyway, now that they are becoming less available, I have tried other brand of pods and to my surpirise, most of these others are individually wrapped so they last much longer on your shelf without going bad.
Originally I would have given this coffee 5 stars while fresh but only 1 star after they sit on your shelf awhile. You think they would come up with a resealable pouch. Anyway, 3 stars is a go....

I enjoy trying the different varieties of Senseo coffee pods offered here and like the darker, stronger blends for my first in the morning cup. One thing I'd like to note is that Senseo coffee makers take two pods per cup, while other brands of pod coffee makers make a strong cup with just one pod making each cup less expensive. The only difference is that most of the other coffee makers do not make foam. We put our Senseo maker in the basement for an emergency and prefer to use Senseo coffee pods with our Mr. Coffee Home Cafe coffee maker that uses only one pod and makes great coffee.
