Great Deal on Hard-to-Find Pods!,

I love my little Senseo. Sure, French presses and larger machines have their place. Most mornings though, I just want to make myself one great cup of coffee, and this system does the trick.
The flavors in the pack are fantastic. The pods are sometime hard to find or over-priced, so buying these packs on Amazon is also very convenient. If you don't use them that often, be sure to stick open bags in a ziploc bag & freeze them. The grounds stay fresher much longer.

My husband and I have really enjoyed using the Senseo Coffee Variety pack with 4 pkgs of different coffees to sample. Three of the coffees are good, one is not. Our favorite is the Sumatra, which is very bold, and sometimes we go ahead and brew 2 cups from the same pod, and each get a good cup of coffee. I like mine weaker than my husband, so it works out well for both of us. Our 2nd favorite is the Columbian, which is just about as bold, but just a bit less smooth, but still very good. Our 3rd favorite is the Kenya blend, again a very good cup of coffee. We were both really disappointed in the 10% Kona blend. It's SO weak, we have never been able to even get 1 good cup of it! It actually comes out more the color of weak tea. Anyway, 3 out of 4 isn't bad, but we'd really like to try a good Kona in one of these sampler pks! Senseo Origins Coffee Variety Pack II, 16-Count Packages (Pack of 4)
We have the Bunn MC My Cafe, which we're really happy with - it brews a good cup of coffee, and brews it quickly, which is nice! BUNN MC My Cafe Home Pod Brewer Coupling the new single serve brewers with the coffee pods has been a really nice thing to come along for busy people who enjoy one cup of coffee in the morning, or an occasional cup through the day. All in all, from what I've read, I'll stick with the Senseo variety pks unless we find a particular brew we like more than any others. It's nice to have a change of pace, and it's not too expensive the way we drink coffee - one cup in the A.M.

Was really disappointed in the freshness of this coffee. I just got my Senseo machine and ordered this variety pack so I could try different blends. I had my doubts about pre-made coffee pods, but so many reviewers raved about the coffee, I decided to put aside my doubts. The Kona blend didn't smell good when I first opened the package. You know how fresh coffee is supposed to smell. This wasn't even close: thin, acidic, and even kinda rancid. And that pretty much describes the brewed coffee. Bad. I poured it out and tried the dark roast that came with my new machine. It was better than the Kona, but not even close to what I would have expected, based on the stellar reviews here. It kind of reminded me of coffee that had been sitting on a burner a little too long. Next I tried the Columbian, which is generally my favorite when I buy whole-bean coffee. I was brewing into a mug, by the way, so I was using double pods for all these trials. The Columbian smelled good when I opened the package--the way FRESH coffee is supposed to smell. The coffee was light-years better than the first two kinds, but the best coffee on the planet? Not really. The Sumatran blend smelled okay, too. Not hit-you-in-the-face amazing, but pretty good. The coffee was also okay--not as fresh-tasting as the Columbian, but still better than the Kona blend. I'll admit I haven't tried the Kenyan variety yet, since it's usually not my favorite, so I can't comment on it. Besides, I'm PLENTY caffeinated at this point! The bottom line is, the Columbian and the Sumatran were worth the convenience of the Senseo machine, but they definitely don't stand up against freshly-ground beans brewed in a drip coffee pot or French press. For convenience and novelty of the Senseo system, I'd give 5 stars. But for the actual flavor of the coffee: lots of room for improvement. Turns out I was right to be skeptical of pre-made pods. Maybe I got a bad batch but I really don't get what all the fuss is about. Meh.

This group contained very good coffees. The Senseo pods fit well into my Bunn MC Home Pod Brewer. The only thing I do not care for is that the coffee pods are packed in a bag of 16 pods. I prefer my coffee (or tea) pods to be individually wrapped in foil with air extracted. This makes it simple and practical to vary coffee blends without a time degradation of unpackaged coffee pods. For that reason alone I gave it one star less than 5.

First had this coffee in Holland. After a 13 hour flight with 2 kids, I stopped at the store on my way home from the airport to buy the coffee and coffee pot. That was 8 years ago and still going strong!

I love my Senseo machine and this variety pack is delicious! The Kenya blend is a little more assertive, the Colombia and Kona are milder, and all are excellent.

This Dutch outfit has been roasting excellent coffee for many years. For my taste, it's the best. I continue to use it even though My Senseo machine quit working months ago.

This is a good variety of coffees. My husband loves bold flavors so this works for him, but none of them are too bold for me. Maybe the Kenya blend is a tad bit bold for me, but the others are awesome.

When the Senseo's first came out, we started receiving free ones to test various coffees. I admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob and come from a long line of coffee snobs. My Dad roasts his own beans and when you've had fresh roasted? From a high end brewing system? Heaven. We have the latest model and for Senseo coffee having tried everything out there, honestly this variety pack is very good. But that's with the qualification of it's Senseo coffee which kinda is on par with crappy diner coffee or instant....not even up to Starbucks (which is dreck). I bought this because we have relatives in town visiting our baby and honestly, they just want a cup of joe when they crawl out of bed and don't seem to mind what it tastes like as long as it's fresh. I don't have the time or patience with an infant to wait on them so this was an easy solution that each person visiting can do themselves when they wake up at various times throughout the morning without risking anyone messing up the fabulous coffeemaker my family gave me over Christmas (these relatives have broken two similar machines in the past....sigh!). I do like the greener pod factor over the plastic k-cups and with going through so much of these, I'd feel terrible filling my recycle bin instead of our compost pile. So an easy fix and a win-win. If you love the Senseo coffee, this is worth a try.

As usual, Amazon is way less expensive than other site and you get that quick turn around! The coffee-pack was quite a good deal and will definitely buy more.
