Love this little machine! The three different style heating plates are removeable and dishwasher safe which makes this little thing super easy to clean. The capacity it pretty good too. I've used french bread for some sandwiches and it still smushes down and latches. It's also pretty space saving as well.

I bought this b/c I was looking for a sandwich maker, and it seemed handy to have the option of making waffles or having a grill as well. As it happens, we've only used the sandwich plates so far, but it's nice knowing the other possibilities are there.

At first I thought the plates seemed rather flimsy, compared to fixed plates, but it's turned out to be very convenient and easy to clean since the plates can be removed and the melted cheese etc can be got off much more easily than if I had to dig down between the plate and the frame. I'm very satisfied with its performance. It does not seem to switch itself off when it reaches its highest temp setting, though, which would have been handy to avoid burning the food, but I don't know of any in that price range that do that, so maybe it's not even fair to bring it up.

Some popular sandwich combos in our house, in case you're wondering whether everyone in your household would eat hot pocket sandwiches: pepperoni, mozzarella, and ketchup for my son, prosciutto and pear and brie for me, and bacon and pepper jack with mustard, or turkey with lingonberries or cranberries for my husband. Dessert sandwiches: banana with curry ketchup, and apple with cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice (my son prefers peanut butter and Nutella). These and other combos have become the standard lunch at home for us.

Used this last night to make ham and cheese. I used real ham (not lunch meat) so the sandwich was quite thick. Did not have any problems with the latch not closing. EASY to clean, the trays pop out and have cool tabs to you don't have to worry about burning your fingers.

It cooks waffles unevenly and takes forever. I think I cooked 2 sets of waffles in about 25 minutes. Also a bit smaller. It is going back tomorrow.

Actual grill seems well made but the interchangeable plates are very light weight and not of a very high quality. It serves its purpose and is good for the price.

I wouldn't buy this as anything but a panini maker. But, it does a great job for that. I'm buying another because my kid came to visit and it disappeared with her when she left!

I bought this to replace a Cuisinart waffle maker I had used almost daily for a year. For waffles is cooks unevenly, over flows in the back on to the spring coil and hinges and is impossible to clean afterwards. I sliced open my finger trying to get all the gunk out of the area. It probably would be a good sandwich maker, but aviod it if waffles are your purpose for purchasing this. I am returning it today. It was not worth the hassle, money, or hurt finger.

Good concept - poor execution

There are two lights blue and green. The room should be completely dark to see if any of them are on.

Worked for two days then the top portion went dead

Very difficult to tell when the waffles are done - No tone just a hard to see light

Green light takes a minute to go out - then when it comes back on the waffle should be done - WRONG !

Not sure what timeing or temperature is for the green light - but it doesn't work right,

I got this for birthday gift in Dec have only used it couple times since I already have a George Foreman grill and love that. I was cooking 2 frozen hamburger you can fit 2 on this one but not my GF. I check it before it was done because had to much steam coming out of it and it had liquid fat inside of it. I turn it off and dry it off and clean it and now it doesn't come on no more. I call the company and they said shouldn't been used maybe for hamburgers since it doesn't have a drip tray for the oil. I said if you can't used it for hamburgers then it should said it in the manual. Like other have said its hard to clean and steam to much and the trays are to cheap but easy to take out and put it in.

I like it very much; best thing is the removable plates which can be dishwashered. It replaced one that did not have such plates and I never felt it was clean enough. I didn't want us getting sick so I upgraded.
