5.0 out of 5 stars Dirty 80's Rock!
If you grew up in the 80's, still love that 80's hairband rock, and have Beavis and/or Butt-Head tattooed on your chest, THIS album is a must have in your collection! Not suitable for children, but GREAT for adults who act like children =)

3.0 out of 5 stars Humorous but dated
After hearing about this album for years, I decided to take the plunge and pick up a copy. While I'm glad I did, I don't see myself listening to it often. It's funny for those that were fans of glam/hair metal in the late 80's, but it sounds dated. It's a good parody, but the songs don't stand on their own.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Lot Better Than I Thought It Would Be, January 4, 2011

When I picked this cassette up two decades ago, I had no idea what to expect. However, the song titles alone gave a clue. Once I actually heard it, the sound, though full of hair metal tendencies, is not bad at all.

The playing is top notch and though the vocals can get a bit shrill at times, they are also not bad at all. The lyrics are a riot and parody all the excesses of the 80's. Apparently they were just a novelty band but I think with a bit of time, they could have become one of the top metal bands of the 80's.

Instead of just a bunch of faceless hair metal anthems, there is substance to their music, lyrics notwithstanding.

If you are looking for something different along with a good laugh, then I highly recommend Scrapp Metal.

This thing was tough to find. Tossed my old cassette years ago.

This album is basically a filthy tribute to the hair band, glam rock age of music. I think only one song was safe to play on the radio back in the day.

If you don't listen to the words, it sounds like an excellent 80's hard rock band. But once you listen to the words, you realize this album is really a goof on the whole genre. It's great.

The lead singer, Jeff Scott Soto, has a pretty strong pedigree and made the album on a lark, assured his participation would never be revealed.

I'm glad I searched out and purchased this again.
