A Fountain of Wisdon, February 20, 2001
This review is from: The Sensitives: Dynamics and Dangers of Mysticism (The Notebooks of Paul Brunton) (Paperback)
Paul Brunton has written a very helpful book for serious mystics of the pitfalls and perils of the mystic path when it is not balanced in it's approach. Brunton has had a lifetime of serious study and personal experience of the many paths of mysticism to give one a healthy perspective from which to evaluate the true value of mysticism in today's world.

The Sensitives: Dynamics & Dangers of Mysticism, November 5, 2010
This review is from: The Sensitives: Dynamics and Dangers of Mysticism (The Notebooks of Paul Brunton) (Paperback)
THE SENSITIVES is a focus on the dynamics and dangers of mysticism. Here we are guided around and through the
maze of cults and fallacious religions with their superstitious beliefs, practices of 'hocus-pocus' and shown the
need to understand the difference between spiritual and psychic experiences. Within the dangers of mysticism,
Paul Brunton warns us that without critical judgment and firm discrimination, we can get caught up in the black
magic of false teachers, the misuse of meditation, the web of unpractical idealism and following the path of many
others, live with our heads-in-the-sand. Within the dynamics of mysticism, THE SENSITIVES explores and expands
on the meaning, the power and necessary philosophic discipline, responsible awareness and use of the mind in its
metaphysical studies and ultra-mystic meditations, as introduced in THE HIDDEN TEACHING BEYOND YOGA and THE WISDOM
OF THE OVERSELF. THE SENSITIVES is a category for all individuals on a spiritual quest, especially beginners
and intermediates of the study and practice of mysticism.
