Not worth MSP of $500,

Received watch on 03 Feb. Bought through Amazon from GizmoForLife at bargin price of $196.00. The details, style, craftmanship is not worth the $500 suggested price.
Pros: The tritium on the hour markers and on the hands are excellent!! The analog time can be viewed in any or no light (love this feature). The watch has the other features as advertised; time zones, alarm, temp, compass, altimeter (accurate enough for recreational use, dont use them to fly a plane or steer a ship; temp affected by body heat.) Cons: Out of the box the digital display was barely visible. (I am awaiting a replacement battery to see if this corrects the problem). Saw a similar complaint for the Sea Pro...I believe that items should be checked before shipping in poor condition. The watch is a bit larger in diameter than anticipated. Styling is ordinary. Not very attractive to look at, definitely not a formal dress watch. Overall: A good weekend watch if you can snag at a good bargain price. Update: Distributor sent replacement battery and it corrected the problem with the digital display and backlight. Good service from GizmoForLife. |
