5.0 out of 5 stars visual thinking of a person with autism, October 6, 2000

This review is from: Sensory Challenges & Answers (Hardcover)
I am a parent of 2 and half year old autistic child. I do have Dr. Grandin's "Thinking in picture" forwarded by Dr. Sacks. I think the video is extremely wonderful for many reasons. A few of them are: (1) you can acutally see her how bright looking and very interlectual lady she is. (2) the way she speaks. (3) how she learn things - example using pictures as wells short words would definitely help her to understand in her early age. (4) consisitancy in term of doing thing help her to understand and remember for a long time - example her way of parking car in the parking lot etc. I fully recommend not only to the parents/people with autistic children, also to so called regular people who think there are better than anybody else - thank God not many of them in this world - at least I would like to believe. She in not only a scientist, architect (atleast to me) as well. She designed 1/3 of animal facilities in the United Sates - need I say more?
