I've owned Sentina's 4-way emergency light for several years but wanted a motion-detection light that more appropriately fit the decor of our house. These Zen lights are larger than the 4-way lights, covering both outlets at the same time. I bought 6 but only 2 of them worked properly: switching on when ambient light levels drop, emanating a soft glow, then lighting the hallways as you approach it. The other 4 lights had problems: didn't turn on when dark, didn't detect motion, or stayed brightly on the whole time. (I believe Sentina just has inconsistent quality/assembly checks because I've had similar problems with the 4-way lights in the past.) Be prepared to receive a product that doesn't work properly. You will either have to pay full price for new one(s)s or send your defective one(s) to Sentina for repair/replacement along with a return shipping fee.

Nice and bright. Just what I need when walking through my living room, hallway without having to turn the lights on.

This is an awesome product! I just place them in the hallway & set them to 5 min. As I enter the hallway whether from work or just passing through - they go automatically from dim to bright & my electric bill goes down alot!
I highly recommend these to anybody. You pay up a bit initially but they pay themselves off in less than a year!
The design works too! if you're going for that neo-tech contemporary look then these are the lights for you!

The motion-detector and ambient light-sensor are great, but what makes this worth the money is how bright it is. It's already bright for nightlight when it's in low "glow" mode, but when the motion-detector trips and all of it's LEDs fire up, it's by far the brightest LED night light I've ever seen.

Being able to set the light to stay on for up to 10 minutes after the motion-detector trips is a great feature, too. We use it in my grandma's bathroom and she sometimes takes awhile, and I don't want the light going out on her before she's done.

These are fabulous nightlight. They are bright, without being blinding, and the motion detector is perfect--no failures or false positives. The LED is power conservative, yet snaps on immediately. I use these all over the house and never have to turn on a light when walking through a room at night unless I want to stay in the room. The nightlight has an adjustable timer and will stay on for 1, 5, or 10 minutes after activation. The inactive nightlight produces a soft glow that doesn't disturb my sleep. My only complaint is the size--they take up one plug in an outlet and nearly block the second plug.

Excellent product, does what they say and more - however, I was a bit disappointed because it is not solid state (outer casing is made of plastic) and as a result I thought it could have been a little cheaper. Would recommended it to others as one of the better nite lights (I have gone through quite a few), but I would not buy another as I think its too pricey based on what I thought was flimsy plastic encasement. Maybe my expectations are t0o high
