Excellent Greyhawk Adventure,

This review is from: The Sentinel (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Module UK2) (Paperback)
I highly recommend this adventure [Levels 2-5]. It is the first of two adventures set in an isolated corner of the Hold of Sea Princes. The story allows for good roleplay where the adventures must investigate a mystery involving an irrationally acting skulk (creature from Fiend Folio). The adventure has a decent bit of overland travel (which a good DM should be able to make interesting) and several adventure locales that are well drawn out. It took a little bit of effort to get my players into it (they hate mysteries), but once they did everyone had a great time. This adventure should be played with the next one "The Guantlet", but this is not required and there is even a good way to get PCs out of the next adventure if that's your desire.

Excellent Greyhawk adventure, first of two,

The village of Kusnir has been beset by a Skulk... a dark presence that curses the very land itself and claims the souls of any who dare go beyond their thresholds and into the night. What does it desire? The answer lies beyond a wonderful series of adventures in the ruins and monster lairs of the peaks of Alderweg... once your PCs (levels 2-5) have made their way past the Xvarts, Owlbears, and Gargoyles, they'll find the object of their quest, a mystical gauntlet known only as the Sentinel, and a rathering startling revelation as well! This is one of the best UK adventures, featuring many monsters from the classic Fiend Folio.

A two-part Classic that ought to be brought back,

This module (with its sequel The Gauntlet) was one of the very first that I really fell in love with. I remember hours and hours of exploration and adventure. What a loss that such an old (venerable????) tale has been lost to the publishers and the gaming community at large. Many of the newcomers to the game would find this old adventure a new favorite, I am quite sure. How I would love to have my old copy back!!!! If you can locate one for yourself, enjoy it, and pass along the word--bring back a classic!!
