About the Author

# 1 NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Bestselling author Jennifer lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia. All the rumors you've heard about her state aren't true. When she's not hard at work writing, she spends her time reading, working out, watching really bad zombie movies, pretending to write, and hanging out with her husband and her Jack Russell Loki.
Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class, where she spent most of her time writing short stories....which explains her dismal grades in math. Jennifer writes young adult paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She is published with Spencer Hill Press, Entangled Teen and Brazen, Disney/Hyperion and Harlequin Teen.
She also writes adult and New Adult romance under the name J. Lynn. She is published by Entangled Brazen and HarperCollins.

I can't remember the last time I cried that much over a book!
danielle sylvester
The pacing was perfect, the suspense, romance, action, humor, writing style, just about everything that Jennifer always puts into her stories was perfect.

This has to be one of the best books--let alone one of the best ending to a series--that I have ever read.

I just finished Sentinel and am still trying to process what I just read. There were so many hilarious moments that sent me into uncontrollable laughing fits. There were also very touching and emotional moments that had me bawling like a baby. *Slight Spoilers Ahead* Okay, the ending was surprising, not the one I wanted but even better. It was far less upsetting than the ending Allegiant (You will understand what I mean once you have read it). There is a lot of death but also redemption and forgiveness. It is action-packed and had plenty of steamy scenes. Aiden is even more swoon-worthy than ever. Overall, it was a very satisfying and beautiful ending to an amazing series. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

6 stars! What an ending! I will admit that this book made me blubber like a baby. I'm actually not sure I can put into words how much I loved this series and this book in particular. I laughed, I cried, I snorted, and I even caught myself doing the whole "oh snap" thing with my fingers a few times. There were so many twists and turns, and I had no idea how it was going to end. The entire book was full of awesomeness, and I felt like I was on the edge of my seat for the roller coaster ride of my life. I could not have been any happier with how Jennifer Armentrout wrapped everything up in such an incredible way. The growth of Alex's character was been nothing short of remarkable, and I was so proud of her heart, tenacity, and sacrifice. As always this book was full of the unexpected, and I loved watching Alex and Aiden fight for their happy ending.

Alex and Aiden are both remarkable characters that I have always adored, but I honestly loved every character's role in this book. Sentinel was so fast-paced, and every twist and turn had me sucking in a deep breath and hoping for the best. It is amazing how much all of these characters have gone through, and I have to say that Armentrout did truly write the perfect ending. The way everything came together made absolute sense, but at the same time it left my heart very happy. My expectations were exceeded beyond belief. It is so bittersweet for this series to be over. I have loved these characters so much and enjoyed every minute of laughing and crying with them. What a wonderful conclusion to an amazing series. Kudos to Jennifer Armentrout!

I got this series thanks to my fiance as an early birthday present on July 2014. I read Daimon and Half-Blood the same day. I don’t know why I kept pushing back the other books. This year, I decided to start it off with the Covenant series and I finally but sadly, finished it. I really didn’t want this series to end. At times, I did wanted it to end but then…it just…ugh, no words, guys.

I’m going to start off with Alex. I admire Alex! She is so strong and brave and STRONG! I don’t think I would have survived everything she went through. Every step back, she would push forward, would push herself to do better until she did it. I must say I got annoyed with her a few times during the series but Alex is definitely one of my favorite heroines. She is bad-ass and she killed it!

Let’s continue with Aiden. This series is the first series I read that I am not a fan of the MC’s boyfriend or special friend. I was rooting for Seth! Let me give you my reasons. While Aiden was kind of “forbidden”, I couldn’t totally grasp the idea of it and I love forbidden love, so this is saying a lot. He would make Alex suffer more than make her happy, in my opinion, which blew my chances with him. I know it’s forbidden but if he loves her as he says he does, why didn’t he try until later on? Why wait when the love of your life is right there and with everything going on could die some day? This is why I wasn’t a fan of Aiden, among other things that I can’t remember right now.

Let’s go with Seth. My lovely, hot, annoying, jerk, a**hole, arrogant, gorgeous, handsome, cocky Seth. Seth is f*cking perfection! I LOVE HIM! I know a lot of you hated him but I couldn’t! I really love him a lot!

I LOVE this series. The romance scenes are hot and there's generally a good amount of action. I also love the Origin series but that's a different story. At first I was not a fan because as many others have mentioned, it's extremely similar to Vampire Academy. This is the 5th and final *tear* book to this series and I enjoyed everything..but the ending.

*SPOILERS*
I hate that Alex dies..and then her mortal life is actually over. The demigod thing was extremely unexpected but there are way too many things left unsaid. Can they have children? Is Seth happy? Are her and Seth still connected? Does Seth ever find true love? How is Marcus? There was no epilogue and that drives me crazy..but it also leads me to believe that JA might be writing a spin off..hopefully about Seth. That would be amazing. I just felt like the ending didn't give me the closure I needed. Seth was one of my favorite characters & in the end he makes a huge sacrifice..and then...that's it. Does Seth get his happy ending? We will never know...unless my suspicions are correct & there will be a spin off series about Seth..which would make me explode with joy.
