The 1170 model is UL classified with 1/2-hour proven fire protection and ETL verified 1/2 hour fire protection for CD's, DVD's, USB drives and memory sticks up to 1550ºF. The file also comes with a privacy key lock. The file has a lifetime after-fire replacement guarantee and a manufacturer's limited warranty.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Dollar for dollar your best little fire safe you can buy. It's the perfect size for any of your needs, and if you need to protect any investments it is also great. Priced to sell, and if you need another one there cheap, just go down and buy one. There not set up as a burg safe, but it should keep sticky fingers out. I myself have more than a few, and some have the black casing, and some have the white casing. Another handy thing is that it's a top loader, which makes it easier to get at everything. It's tall enough to put files in also. I recommend this to every household.

This safe is a great deal. I gave it to my boyfriend who is a firefighter and he said this brand is durable and strong. He said he's pulled these safes from charred homes and all the items inside were in perfect condition. Great size for important documents.

This is perfect for any house hold or small business. Not recommended for anti theft purposes unless you can hide it in some way. It is easy to move around for one person. Fits everything that you could possibly need to. Well built in my opinion (Thanks USA) and should give you peace of mind that your important files/keep sakes are protected in case of a fire/or water leak. So 5 stars for me... the price is right especially for free shipping online. Do yourself a favor get one help our economy. Buy American Made.

returned item: key did not work
I returned this item, and it was headache. This item weighs over 20lbs, and I had to hand carry to UPS store. This kind of item is not good buy online, in my opinion.

I feel very safe
I feel safer having all my older leftover perscriptions locked up from kids and depressed visitors. Medicines can be very dangerous left out in your bathroom cabinets. Read more
