I have no complaints about the size or weight of the Sentry Safe H2100. I've had the safe for about a year and only recently locked it for the first time only to discover that the latch to the lock sticks and now I have all my most important papers in a box that cannot be opened. Safe from fire, yes, but safe from me, too.

We received this firesafe as a gift. Luckily we haven't needed to test its firesafe or waterproof properties, so I can't speak to that, but the box is impossible to open (the latch sticks). I've tried the "tips" listed on the web (use your knee to apply pressure, etc.) and still I can't get it to open. It is going straight to the trash. I definitely recommend testing this out in the store before buying, because apparently it's a common problem.

If you want to keep your items safe from thieves, take this box and put it in a safe.

This box may or may not be "water proof" it might protect from fire (for a period of time) but it is with out a doubt not a "safe". Don't think for a minute your protecting your valuables. I got this from an office super store to keep under my bed for important papers and had it for a little over two years when i discovered the hinge side of the door is created entirely of the same blow mold plastic that surrounds the outside of the box. If you open the lid too far, the door will fall off. I used a small pocket knife to test the hinge and I was able to pop the door off from the hinge side while it was locked. Putting an expensive looking lock and key on this box is misleading. SentrySafe should take the lock off, rename it "Box that may or may not protect from water/fire/theft".

The SentrySafe which is 0.36 cubic feet is an excellent safe storage for Back-up files from the computer. I can get over 100 cd's in there plus old documents. There is a lock but I probably won't use. Plenty of room---

I have been looking around in my town for a waterproof fire safe of good quailty and a convenient price. I found quality in several different models; however, I could not find one in my price range. This safe is thick, heavy duty, and secure. Best of all, it was half the price of what I would have payed in town. shipping was free and I got the safe within a few days of purchase. The only downfall that I see is that it does not have a handle. Overall, great product.

This safe is a perfect fit for storing estate documents at home, rather than in a safe deposit box at a bank. Fits under the bed and out of the way. Can be left unlocked for easy access.

Two different units and both have bogus dimensions - use the ones listed in the specs.
