I'll keep it short. As a fan of the egg white omelet, I would often create breakfast using 8-10 egg whites. This little gadget does exactly what it claims to do - it separates eggs perfectly well.

If I would re-engineer this thing, however, I would make the bottom reservoir larger in diameter than the yolk collector on top. I've found some really large eggs to overflow the top before the egg separates so I end up having to place the entire gadget in a bowl first to collect any overflow.

Additionally, I would like the yolk collector to handle more than 1 egg at a time. It would be nice if you could just crack 5 eggs into the thing and have it do its job but it doesn't.

The unit works perfectly well if you crack a single egg into the container, wait for the egg white to slowly separate from the yolk and drip into the bottom reservoir, dump out the yolk and repeat the process. If you are handy in the kitchen it's almost quicker to just do the in the half-egg shell back-and-forth separation method.

All in all it works perfectly as intended. If I wanted something that will separate 5 eggs at a time I should have bought something else so there is no reason to knock this model at all. It works and it is one sturdy little gadget - solid stainless steel and heavy for its size. Well made.

My wife and daughters love this. It holds about 8 large egg whites, I am guessing that is plenty for the average user.

This is the best egg seperator I have ever used. It is thick, and heavy. This will last for ever, and always looks new, being stainless steel. It seperates for easy clean up.

This is a perfect tool to use. It separates the egg yolk from white almost without any waste. It is made of high quality stainless steel. the cup can hold up to 6 whites.

When I first saw it, I thought that it might be unstable to use but I was totally wrong. It does it's job better than any other device I've used. I don't know how but it was even able to contain a ruptured yolk for me once as well. Very well designed.

I like eating raw eggs yolks but don't eat the whites. This thing does the job perfectly. It's stainless steel, heavy duty, and the cup separates from the receptacle for easy cleaning.

I haven't used eggs you buy in the stores for so long I guess I didn't realize that farm-fresh ones are just that--fresh. I had to return mine because my whites where so thick, they wouldnt separate from the yolk.

This separator is OK but overpriced, it looked much bigger in picture than it actually is. Though it does work and removes the yolk fine. One issue is if you push the separator snap tight on the cup than it is hard to pull out specially when you have egg white in the cup pulling the separator out can cause spill. To overcome this i do not push the separator on cup tight i loosely put it on top. Have used it for one month so far. does its job fine but for such a small piece $15 is way too high.

I wish the actual separator would hold more than one egg at a time. the base does hold 3 egg whites at a time.

This product is just too small to do the job. If you are cracking more than an egg or two... it's too small.
