The Hebrew text is beautifully sat up, and the English translation is deep and sensitive. The introduction gives a good insight in this ancient book. A real treasure

Simply put, this book is required reading for any serious student of the Kaballah. First of all it is very short so it doesn't take a long time to read. But beyond that it is a fundamental book on which all other kaballah writings are based. Don't expect to fully understand it the first time through. Force yourself to read it regardless of whether you understand it or not. Then just set it aside and continue with other studies that you are doing in Kaballah. Then go back and read it again. Keep alternating back and forth between other writings and this book and eventually you'll see that this is merely an extremely condensed version of all of the other materials. However, if your interest is only in the hokey new-age version of Kaballah then this book will continue to be meaningless.
