Editorial Reviews

It is to music what "steampunk" is to literature and cinema: something that looks back to the past to comment on the present while looking sideways at the future. A cubist aural experience. As goth & glam are the bastards of David Bowie, Sepiachord is the made from the genetic material sown by Tom Waits. Sepiachord is assembled like a clockwork orchestra, from such elements of music Sinister Circus, Cabaret Macabre, Chamber Pop, Organic Goth, Celtic/Gypsy Punk, Mutant Americana, Ghost Town Country It is the music our grandparents or great-grandparents would have listened to, if they were as off-set as we are. After much demand, the crew at Sepiachord has created a companion guide to introduce the genre that doesn't exist.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Sepiachord Companion -an absolute must-have, November 17, 2009
This review is from: The Sepiachord Companion (Audio CD)
The Sepiachord Companion is an amazing auditory journey to the extremes of one's emotions.
Heed the warnings of The Industrial Revolution (VOLTAIRE). Scream along with VERMILLION LIES' Long Red Hair. Feel the pain of Torture (JILL TRACY). Pine for the Hobo Girl Blues (ONE BEER PROPHET). Enjoy a ride on the Last Express with VERNIAN PROCESS.
Where else can you get such a diverse mosaic? ABNEY PARK, HUMANWINE, TOY BOX TRIO, UNWOMAN, and lots of other unique talents combine to bring you an unequaled aural experience.
The Sepiachord Companion is an absolute must-have in the collection of any music aficionado.

I have to say this is one of the best albums I've gotten in a long while. A neat mix of modern Victorian/folk music, I've since gone out and bought CDs from several of the artists featured on this album. For the most part though I feel that some of the artists best work is what made it to this album so this could easily be the ONE CD you need to buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good mix with some excellent songs as well as decent ones., January 30, 2010
This review is from: The Sepiachord Companion (Audio CD)
I was quite pleased with this CD. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had only heard of a few of the artists on it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the ones I hadn't heard of were quite good.
