I gave the book 4 stars, because I hoped there would be more of the permaculture tricks he is using there. It is more of the story about his life and farming, and dealing with authorities. I hope, Sepp Holzer will publish soon a book about his methods in English.

I cannot say anything negative about this book. It explains one man's story in his path to organic and sustainable permaculture food production. It has changed the way I think about gradening, commercial farming, food sources, and even how I spend my time on this planet. It is entertaining and simple.

An incredible book. The story Holzer's childhood makes it hard to believe he was born in the 20th century and wasn't a contemporary of Hansel and Gretel. The section relating his struggles with bureaucrats made me rejoice that our own version are comparatively incompetent in their oversight, interference and meddling in our lives. The heart of the book is the model showing how anyone willing to work hard, oppose authority and never question their own vision can achieve success, whether on a local or global stage.

Sepp Holzer is a genius when it comes to natural agriculture. He tells about his life in this book, as well as some of the experiments he conducted to improve the production of food (plants and animals)on his farm in Austria.

I would recommend this book to anyone determined to improve their gardening techniques and learn more about this fascinating farmer. Looking forward to his next book, which is about to be released.

Good, but not as great as his next book. This is more of an autobiography, but does give some of his permaculture methods.

I am convinced that originally man must have cultivated like this to survive and enjoy his life. This is a super book of encouragement for every person who ever wanted to grow things and confessed they did not have a green thumb. Yes you can do it too!!!

So go start you Garden of Eden today the sustainable way and continue to enjoy your life. Keeping in mind we reap what we sow. Both in life and in our gardens. Don't forget to share. Plant enough for the birds and animals and don't be too greedy you can't possibly use it all.
