When I got Sequencia I entertained it with my usual skepticism
for new music and especially music with the sub clasification of "Healing" or in this case derived from "Science". There are exceptions but in most cases these
genre either wax sappy (the former) or are just down right
boring (the latter). Sequencia soars so far above that
comparisons simply detract. As a musician myself who uses the
the synthesizer alot I have found that the sounds that Susan
Alexjander conjures from her instrument are nothing less than
uncanny. And yet this is not wild synth music. In fact she uses
the synthesizer almost like an acoustic instrument setting
themes and giving support to the other musicians. Then adding
highlights or setting the direction for another foray into this
unusual and unique music. If you are interested in "new" or
"modern" music but often come away dissappointed I think you
will find here music that is both deep and highly listenable.

I first heard selections from this CD during a Vocal Profiling class and knew I had to find a copy for myself. This is not your typical "sing along" type of music but rather its the frequency of your DNA set to music. Very healing and you owe it to yourself to listen.
