5.0 out of 5 stars Great paranormal with suprising twists
This is the second in a series by the author. I believe she has the 3rd out in e-book form, too. This was a wonderful book because both characters were very strong. But what I really enjoyed about this book was how tough the heroine was! I don't think the woman has to be tough etc. all the time but I do like when the heroine stands up to the hero and doesn't let him...

This is the second in a series by the author. I believe she has the 3rd out in e-book form, too. This was a wonderful book because both characters were very strong. But what I really enjoyed about this book was how tough the heroine was! I don't think the woman has to be tough etc. all the time but I do like when the heroine stands up to the hero and doesn't let him walk all over her. In this book the hero is in hot pursuit (once he finally realizes what a good thing she is) and the heroine makes him work for it! Very feisty! It doesn't hurt that author writes a great story has very evil villians and some suprising twists that threw me. (I have to admit this is rare, since I read a lot!) This is a wonderful paranormal romance, I bought the e-book and as soon as I found out if came out in print..well I bought it from Amazon. So it made a big impression on me. I am eager to get the next book in the series...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hope book 3 is better, October 31, 2008
This review is from: Serati's Flame (Vampire Council of Ethics) (Paperback)
I bought the first and second book of this series at the same time and read them back to back. The first book I absolutely loved but the second one fell a bit short for me for the simple fact that a lot of things that the main characters said and did in the first book was repeated by the (main) characters in the second book. It was a bit annoying, especially the phrasing and actions. It felt like I was reading a similar book, but with different characters.

I felt more like I was hearing the voices of Bix and Carin instead of Tameth and Alaan. I love the introduction of Kanoe and can't wait to read his story. I just hope he has his own voice, his own phrases and his own actions.

So while I didn't love book 2 as much as book 1, I didn't hate it and look forward to book 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Vampires!, April 17, 2009

I loved this book, which was a continuation of the Carinian's Seeker. Tameth the vampiress is one of those women who must fight hard and be tough but is every bit of a woman. And Alaan, the vampire whom she is attracted to tries to fight his strong attraction to her because he was still grieving over a past tragedy. They soon give in to their attraction and know that it is more than just attraction, but they are destined to be together. The sex was off the charts!!! I couldn't put this book down!

I give this book 3.5 stars. It is not for the faint of heart. I loved the lead characters but was taken aback towards the end. Let's just say that it has an unexpected ending (still a happy one for everyone though). The female and male leads are meant for each other. Some of the "love scenes" were a bit much for me and I have read many. I am very interested in the third installment because the first book of this series was off the chain!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars You have got to be kidding, January 25, 2012

This review is from: Serati's Flame (Vampire Council of Ethics) (Paperback)
I loved the first book, good plot and excellent hot love scenes. I should have stopped after book one. I love a true mate love bond, a strong alpha male and a strong love interest. This book started off like that Alaan was a strong alpha male possessive, jealous vampire, he has loved Tameth for a very long time. he fights for her and wins her. They finally bond, they are true bondmates they will never love another, so what does Alaan do on their wedding night he invites her best friend another drop dead gorgeous vampire to have sex with them WTF. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. I would have threw the book across the room but it was on my beloved kindle so i just deleted it from my device. I want my money back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good second book in this series, November 26, 2011

I read the first book in this series yesterday and couldn't wait to read this book. I liked the hero after being introduced to him in the first book and was so glad he finally found his true mate in this book. He deserved to finally find a mate as noble as he is. I was glad to see some of the characters return from the first book. The plot twists were somewhat predictable but this is an over all entertaining read.
