About the Author

Svetozar Stojanovic is professor emeritus and director emeritus of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory at the University of Belgrade, and has been a distinguished visiting professor at many universities throughout the world. He is the author of six books, including THE FALL OF YUGOSLAVIA: WHY COMMUNISM FAILED, and more than 150 articles translated into fourteen languages. He is also the founder and copresident of the Serbian-American Center and a member of the Yugoslav Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
