The first Serbian Bible of Atanasie Ivanovi' Stoikovi' (published by the Russian Bible Society at Saint Petersburg, 1824) is not written in the vernacular, but is a mixture of Church Slavonic and Serbian.Also the "Cetvorojevadjelje" in the Serbian language by prince Radisa Dmitrovic, Trojan Gunduli' and hieromonk Mardarije. A translation of the New Testament into Serbian was made by Vuk Stefanovi' Karadzi', the founder of modern Serbian literature, and published at Vienna in 1847. The Old Testament was translated by Vuk's pupil 'uro Dani'i' and issued at Belgrade in 1868. Jehovah's Witnesses have translated their New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures into Serbian, in Cyrillic and Latin scripts. Serbian Huge Family BIble for the whole family.
