Le Cafe - Le PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!,

There are seven grandchildren in the family. This was purchased as a Christmas gift for the 3 year old girl, and it was the "hit" present of 2007. All of the kids, from 12 years old to 11 months, love it. Set up was easy after figuring out how to snap together the frame (PVC-pipes, make a house, put tent fabric over, slide awning poles in) and took less than 15 minutes. It's large enough for most of them to play in at the same time, it's tall enough for adults (or a child who thinks he's one!) to stand up in. You can put a toddler bed or mattress in it for the child who needs a restaurant sleepover... nice size! The included aprons are nice, wipe clean, and aren't torn after a month of heavy play. The patio is holding up well, and my baby girl breakfasts there before school, has dinner at her cafe, force-feeds Raggedy Ann pizza, and charges $65 for a cup of coffee. The front door isn't quite straight, but it makes no difference as it "closes" easily and the roll-up window is nice. The back of the structure has a large mesh window, so ventilation is no problem. I do wish there was a side window to peek in from time to time as our mesh back faces the wall. All in all, this is a wonderful product and I hope it lasts for years! I would buy another one if this one bites the dust. Le Cafe? Oui, Oui!

NOT for outside!,

On a few websites, it is implied that this play hut could be used outside, but unless you're going to bring it in daily, it is NO GOOD for outdoor use. After a rain or a little wind, this tent will fall to pieces. It's a great indoor play tent -- large and lots of fun for little ones, but maybe too large for most families' indoor play areas. DON'T BUY if you thinking of using outdoors regularly.

We got this playhouse for our two girls, ages 6 & 2 after checking out those molded plastic outdoor houses they love so much. Aside from the fact that those things are truly an eyesore, they cost an arm & a leg & are too tiny for my older daughter to stand up in. This play tent is a great alternative. It's inexpensive, super-easy to put up (I did it by myself in less than 5 minutes) and absolutely adorable. It's big inside so we put the girl's play kitchen in there & they put their little table & chairs out on the attached "patio". We've had it up for three weeks straight & it has blown over a couple of times but held up nicely. Today it's really windy so I stuck the awning legs in a couple of big flowerpots & that sturdied it up a bunch. We're having a big BBQ next month & I plan on boxing the tent up to maximize our outdoor space which you certanly can't do with those plasic things. The neighborhood kids love this playhouse & so do my girls...we are very happy with it.
