5.0 out of 5 stars Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble Performing Dvorak and Myslivecek, March 9, 2009
This review is from: Serenade Opus 44 / 3 Wind Octets (Audio CD)
This out-of-print recording features the Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble. You can find many star players here, including Sabine Meyer, oboist Albrecht Mayer, bassoonist Sergio Azzolini and hornist Bruno Schneider. The acoustics is a bit resonant. The Myslivecek serenades are excellent -- it was said that the young Mozart was influenced by Myslivecek. There are extended solo sections for each instrument. This is a gem for wind players.
