I am an Airline Pilot and one of my quests was to find the perfect sunglasses for a Jet cockpit with Electronic Displays, always had the problem that I couldn't see the displays in the cockpit clearly, so I had to sacrifice by taking off my glasses to be able to read the displays and suffering the glare of the sun.
After searching forums and reading all the possible reviews, I decided to order the Serengeti Velocity Gradient 6692, I took them with me on my next flight, I put them on and WOOOW, AMAZING, very light frame, extremely comfortable even after hours of wearing them, and the Glare is so much filtered that u can basically open your eyes wide and still feel comfortable with the light. and as the glasses are gradient, when i looked down I could see my electronic displays much better than before.
for all you pilots looking for the perfect sunglasses, Serengeti is the answer. the technology is amazing. I definitely recommend it for people who drive or for pilots.

The serengeti velocity drivers gradient sunglasses are the best sunglasses i have had in my entire flying career of 43 years. Even with the high glare conditions at high altitudes and a sunny or white sky, you don't get tired or watery eyes after many hours of flight, while you still have an excellent view on your electronic instruments.

My eyes became very light sensitive after years of submarine duty, so I have been wearing Serengeti sunglasses with driver lenses exclusively since the mid-1980's. I bought these to replace a pair of Serengeti Carini's that someone liberated from my checked luggage. Since those are getting hard to find and quite expensive, I got these Velocity. I like the style; like a pair of modernized aviators without the dated teardrop shape. They are light, comfortable, and as always, the protection and clarity of the lenses can't be beat. (I still miss my Carinis though)

Been wearing Serengetis for years not and although these were much too big for me, it killed me to send them back at this price & specs, otherwise they were EXACTLY what I wanted: Rose gradient color, Photochromatic, high contrast for driving and VERY HARD TO FIND TEMPERED GLASS YOU CAN ONLY GET FROM SERENGETI!! STILL MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES AND MY QUEST TO FIND A PAIT TAHT WILL FIT MY SMALL FACE CONTINUES...this is an UNBELIEVABLE PRICE FOR THESE and they are by far MUCH BETTER THAN THE OVER PRICED MAUI JIMS!!

great glasses. I tried to save money with cheap UV blocking plastic lens types, and all sunglasses are NOT created equal. They last longer and give superior clarity.

I used to always wear Serengetti Drivers, but got lured away; when another of the "lurers" broke I got a new pair of Serengetti Velocity. Welcome back to great sunglasses! Comfortable, protection and stylish in one.

I've inspected the sun glasses and they were acurately described. I found all of the other reviews to be very helpful. I believe the gradient lenses are very subtle. They are certainly gradient but not like some of the fashion sunglasses I've seen. The sun glasses have funtioned well on sunny days and provide crisp definition on bright but cloudy days. I'm pleased with my purchase. The price was great!

I have bought a few of these in the past many years and put them at various places where I use sunglasses. They are ideal under virtually any lighting conditions. I use them in bright sunlight all the way down to hazy, cloudy days and they are perfect. I can wear them all day every day and they are completely comfortable for me. Ideal.

I thought is was going to be a premium product. Serengeti lenses are supposed to be top quality. I received the lenses, in their box. The box seems used (the external one, and the case) they are both in less than optimal conditions.
The lenses, supposed to be photocromich, are simply NOT. I've tested them enclosing one lens and leaving the other opened, after 30 minutes of strong direct sunlight, they look the same. There is no additional darkening in the exposed side.
I don't know if this is serengeti fault, or these lenses are not original. In any case. I greatly regreat buying them.
