It's called a journal and yet it is designed in columns to write simple "thank you notes" each day. The author is a big believer that gratitude leads to happiness. And this journal really points the way.

This book is great! It is really a journal (you fill in) but with inspirational quotes and a forward that goads you to take time out for five minutes of relection every day. It tells you how to get started on the road to serenity and the life you always wanted but eluded you before. I'm giving it a half a dozen people for Christmas--it's especially appropriate for anybody going through tough times.

This is a beautifully done practical book for journalling daily gratitude, wishes and noticing miracles that are occuring every day in you life. What I like most is that it's easier to spot synchronistic events when you have written out these things on a daily basis - looking over the past week has been fascinating for me.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. Every year I choose one book to give my professional network - this is the one for 2009, maybe 2010 too as it is timeless. I'll be buying this book every year from now on. Love the format and the appendices at the back as well.

I have purchased the Serenity Journal: Fifty-two Weeks of Prayer and Gratitude every year for three years now. I love it! I truly believe that gratitude to God for all that He has given us is an excellent way to start one's day. The "Wish or Need" and "Miracles" sections at the bottom of each page give one an opportunity to list and then pray for those challenges that one faces each day.

What a terrific idea! Rita Watson has you start each day with five minutes of journal writing, focussed on gratitude for the good things in your life. And what a beautiful book in which to record those "thank you's"! The inspiring quotations heading each day's entry get you headed in the right direction. With this book, serenity is only a journal entry away.
