5.0 out of 5 stars Not too hot, not too cold... just right!
Big fan of this bag. So much so I'm using it on 2 of my bikes. Wanted something that had enough room for a tube, patches, tire levers and a multi-purpose tool yet still allow me cram in a phone and keys. I went with the medium bag and it holds all that and still carries a sleek look on a race-ready machine. It's also expandable if you need the extra space although it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Velcro straps destroyed my shorts
Unlike most bags that have clips to attach the bag, this one uses Velcro. After an hour of riding the Velcro had rubbed a hole in my shorts and my leg. It seems like a very bad choice of connectors. I'm replacing this bag with one that has clips.

It's also expandable if you need the extra space although it does start to get bulky then. I also appreciate little things like having dual zippers making it even easier to access while riding the bike.

I really like this bag. So much so that I am buying a second one (also a size medium) for one of my other bikes. It has everything I was looking for in an under-saddle bag.

The things I particularly like about this bag are:

*Wide opening with dual zippers
*Strap on the back to clip on a light
*Mesh pocket inside the flap for small items
*Sturdy clip for holding a key
*Strap on one side of the inner pocket to hold items (like tire levers) against the side of the bag
*Pocket on the other side of the inner compartment which is just the right size for a debit card (or to keep bus fare tucked away in case you really break something on the bike)
*The zipper to expand the bag is on the bottom and can be easily zipped or unzipped while the bag is mounted on the bike
*The bag looks nice. The Serfas logo is not too ugly and the colored part of the bag is also reflective for a little extra visibility

I like the size too. It's small enough to go under the saddle without sticking out, but big enough to hold everything I need. I usually carry an extra tube, patch kit, a couple tire levers, cell phone, debit card, a multi tool, a chain break tool, bus fare, and a couple wet wipes to clean up a little after changing a flat. All that fits easily without expanding the bag, so for a longer ride it can be expanded and a few snacks would fit in there too.

I do have a couple minor quibbles. I'd like to be able to put my driver's license and debit card in the interior mesh pocket, but it's just too small. One of my other bags also has little fabric webbing on either side of the opening flap to help keep stuff from falling out if you happen to leave the bag unzipped by accident. This one does not have that, but with the way it's designed the flap tends to want to stay closed anyway. As I said, these are minor issues and I wouldn't detract from my rating because of them.

It seems quite well made, but time will tell how it holds up to use. On other bags I have had, the zipper is usually the first thing to give out, so I'm guessing that would be the likely weak spot on this bag if it has one.

I actually looked at a lot of seat bags in stores in this price range, including the similar bag made by Topeak, and all were lacking something that I was looking for. I took a chance and ordered this one here at Amazon and I'm glad I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Serfas bag, November 26, 2010

I got the medium bag and it fits nice and snugly beneath my seat. I can fit a spare tire tube, patch kit, multi-tool, tirelevers, keys, and flip cellphone in it just fine. There is a hook for the keys and some side compartments inside that are good for keeping cash or your id in. If I needed more room I could even unzip the expandable section, but haven't had the need yet. The perfect amount of room for my needs. There is also a spot on the back of the bag to attach a reflector or bike light which is nice and handy. I'm very happy with this seat bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small size is inconspicuous but spacious, August 11, 2011

PROS:
*Great color scheme. Very sleek looking underneath the bike seat with simple design reminiscent of Puma shoes. The color part is reflective and the logo is small.
*Build quality is very good. Fabric seems durable and thick. There is some sort of hardened plastic within the top and bottom walls to keep its shape.
*Functional design is well thought out. Two zippers allow me to close at whatever side I want or at the top. Pull tabs at each end as well to help open and close the zippers. Inside to the right is a soft pouch that fits my multi-tool perfectly. Inside to the left is a elastic band that holds my LED Cree flashlight perfectly. On the flap there is a mesh pocket where I put small tire patches and also a clip where I can hook my keys to. Plus I still have the middle space empty which could probably fit a whole tire valve tube.

CONS:
*My specialized lightweight post and saddle set doesnt have the traditional metal bar rails where I can hook up the velcro strips of Serfas bag. Instead it has a central I-beam and I had to improvise with zip ties. But I knew that before buying, and I just wanted to people to be aware.
*Other than that, nothing else! Just make sure that the size is right for you. Its hard to think of a comparison, but maybe the size of a very large potato.

Apart from my lousy size example, hope some of this information helps =)

5.0 out of 5 stars good bag, May 16, 2011

This bag has enough room to fit my spare tube, tools, lock, wallet and cell phone. It has elastic loops inside that hold my tools, a small mesh pocket on the inside of the flap that holds the USB charger for my lights, and it has a mesh pocket on the side that holds cash and cellphone. One cool feature is the expandable bottom. It adds about 50% more storage space. I would buy this product again.

4.0 out of 5 stars holds more than it looks, May 16, 2011

When I first received it. It looked really small but it actually holds a lot of stuff plus it does expand when you unzip the bottom. I was able to put my multi-bike tool kit, my lock, my bungie cord, my bike gloves, and still have some room to fit more. The material looks very durable and The color looks really nice. I got the Gray color and it looked pretty close to the image on Amazon. The zippers open and close very smoothly. It attaches very securely below my seat. The velcro is really strong.

Good sized bag to fit everything a rodie would need to fix flats, etc. Purists may think it is too large, you know the type that tie a spare tube to the bottom of their saddle because of all of that extra weight...hey lose a pound.

It fits my:
Multi Tool
Cell Phone
Tire Repair Kit
C02 Inflator
Work Badge

(which pretty much takes care of everything that I need to commute to /from work). So far, no problems after three weeks. The strip of fabric at the back does a good job of holding my tail light.

I ordered this bag awhile back. It fits perfectly on my bike and holds a spare tube, tire changing tools, my iPhone, and three gels. I'm sure I could squeeze in more. It's holding up great so far!
