The saddle that came with my road bike was OK, but I found myself having occasional trouble with numbness. I found the Pro-Flo, and thought I would give it a shot. I weigh 260 lbs, so I need more padding than most. The gel is thick enough to provide support and comfort, but isn't so soft that I bounce up and down on the seat. It doesn't feel like I'm losing much power from the pedals to the road at all. The seat is a little wider than most, which is good for me. The nose is a little wider than some seats, but it doesn't get in the way of pedaling.

I rode 79 miles on the saddle in one day, and the seat was very comfortable, even during the last ten miles when I was 'limping home'. No numbness, no discomfort at all. The lycra covering is cool and dries pretty quickly. It's also easy to slide forward or back on the saddle to make slight adjustments to seating position. This may be a concern for mountain biking applications, but it works well for me on the road.

My only complaints are illogical- weight (about a pound), and looks- my bike is really sleek and streamlined (like a sports car), but the larger-than-stock saddle takes away some of the 'cool' factor (more like a sedan). It's a fair trade for comfort, though.

I'm over 6 feet and 210 lbs. The seat flexes way more than I expect. I wish they used a more rigid construction technique. The comfort is quite good and the unit does not weigh that much. I'll probably end up replacing it soon.

I've always experienced numbness and/or pain after a ride, whether it be on the road or in the mountain trails. However, the first time I mounted this seat on, I was amazed at how comfortable it was. I've tried several foam, cutout and gel seats but this was the most comfortable I've used. It first got trial usage on my mountain bike and promptly because my road seat of choice also. My friends also tried the seat and they commented about how nice it was.... some of them are considering picking one up for themselves.

The other benefit is the great air circulation for the undercarriage. Some seats just have a cutout on the bottom and a shallow indent in the center of the seat to allow the air to escape. This saddle has a reasonably deep canyon from front to back, including the cutout. I no longer have to stand up on a downhill section just so I can get some air down there.

The saddle itself is a bit on the medium-large side, since its pretty wide at the back. Its not also particularly light either, but for my needs its not too heavy. Either way, I'd rather not be relegated to sitting on an ice pack after every ride. It seems like a well-made product; I wouldn't be too worried about upkeep.

I am male 52 years 6'1", 240-lb, medium build, this seat is comfortable for long rides. I average 25-30 miles and sometimes as much as 50 miles. The center cut-out relieves pressure and numbness while the dual density gel foam provides the cushion I need. It does look a little bulky but who cares I'm not in a fashion show. I would recommend this seat for all in my catagory.

I did a lot of research before buying this seat; everything from seats with no 'nose' and two pads to wide 'recliner' seats. After attaching this seat and making various adjustments, I couldn't be happier. The split down the middle works exactly as expected. It prevents the pressure common to bike seats, yet is still very practical. I would highly recommend it.
