I did not have the sizing issue other reviewers had but I did find that these had thin and oddly placed padding. I feel like most of the time my hands are in a position where my weight is between the pads on the glove.Unlike some reviewers who liked the loops, I find the loops drive me nuts while I am riding, especially on a trainer where I don't have traffic/road/views to distract me. The loops on mine go higher than the glove so I feel the loops on my hands. I don't know how to describe it but it feels weird. I am seriously considering doing some creative surgery to remove the loops.

These are OK gloves. The sizing is completely wrong - I am a 6-foot tall man with average-size hands for my size, but the XXL size (the very largest size) BARELY fits my hands - I struggle to get these gloves on. Good luck if you want to wear these with thin glove-liners for marginal temperatures.Fortunately, the gloves have loops sewn into the fingers that make them much easier to remove. Otherwise, I could not possibly remove these gloves without inverting them. The only thing I noticed that might qualify these gloves for XXL sizing is the very long thumb, which extends well beyond my thumb joint (and feels really strange). The padding is well-placed, but rather thin. I did not notice any improvement over my former, non-padded gloves. I think the palm would give good protection in the event of a fall. The Velcro strap is against the bottom wrist. I prefer the closure to be against the top of the hand - the wrist is more sensitive, and therefore the discontinuity of the closure joint is more noticeable. In XXL size, the only color available on Amazon was black (with tiny reflective accents). I would have preferred one of the brighter color schemes. I would recommend these gloves only to someone with small hands, who could hope for a proper fit and benefit from a wider variety of color choices.

They don't show the pull-out loops; it's a great feature.,

It's a great product; a little bit tight for the size;If you don't like it snug, order one size bigger than usual, but it's worth your money.

These are probably the nicest gloves I've used. I bought them to replace my old Trek gloves which served me well. They have even found a new life as I now wear them while I cut the lawn! The things I like most about the Serfas gloves is the comfort, the fit, and most importantly that little spot on your thumb that constantly chaffes against your brake handle and the glove itself. I hate that! I've used another pair of gloves that chaffed so badly that I even started bleeding from my thumb! Not too cool on a 210 mile tour. I sent them back, dried blood and all, to the catalog company where I bought them. A detail that I find myself using are the removal loops. While I do have slender fingers these gloves do probably fit a little tightly in the fingers. I find no problems with glove removal by simply using the loops. So hey, if you want a good glove that's suitable for touring look no further, you've found them with the Serfas Zen.

Buyer beware,

These cycling gloves are ridiculously small. I ordered the men's x-large size but can't begin to get my hand in the gloves. They do fit my 10 year old daughter and my spouse who typically gets a medium size glove. They don't appear to be all that well padded or constructed either.

I have been using these for riding for a couple of weeks, though I saw the rewards of riding with gloves immediately. The pads on the gloves are extremely comfortable and a must for long rides. They breath well and the terry cloth thumb can be helpful for wiping sweat away. I have thin fingers and it's usually hard to find gloves that fit well around the fingers, but the smalls fit great on me and don't leave a lot of extra slack material. I have yet to find a flaw with these gloves, they're even easy to clean.I would, am, recommending these gloves. |
