They are still twitching, one of their noses is still running and the other is still mildly panting and it is 36 hours later.

DOG Owners BEWARE - Do NOT use Sergeant's Evolve 21 Flea & Tick Squeeze for Dogs.

I put it on Peyton my 2-1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel Tuesday night and shortly after I notice him shaking his head (as if water was in his ear), scratching and trying to "cool" off. He had heavy breathing and just could not get comfortable - extremly restless from about 8pm - 3am. I thought it was allergies so I gave him a Benadryl to help him feel better, but it still took him 3 hours to relax. I just did some research tonight and read that this product is EXTREMELY dangerous on dogs. Here is just one of many articles....

I have a 10 year old male boxer who has taken flea and tick medicine from the vet all of his life. I made the mistake of buying this product instead of paying a little more and getting meds from my vet and my boxer still hasn't recovered from the allergic reaction that started after I put this product on him, it's been 8 days now!! I've taken him to the vet twice already and plan to take him again in the morning. So much for saving a few bucks! My vet bills are still adding up, not to mention how terrible I feel for hurting my dog. This product should not be allowed on the market! Please take a moment and search the internet for complaints on this product. I searched after the reaction started and found tons of complaints just like mine. I will never use anything on my dogs again without doing some research first. Sergeant's Evolve 61 Flea and Tick Squeeze-On, Dog,Over 60-PoundThis product is NOT safe.

Horrible stuff.

This will make your animal miserable.

The reaction we had was that our dog would not stop scratching and was very anxious.

After about 30 minutes, my dog became agitated. Running around, snapping at her back, drooling and panting. She didn't settle down for hours. I went on-line to read other reviews and my experience is not unusual. Some customers had such a bad reaction that they took their dog to the emergency vet. Vets seemed to recommend washing with Dawn to remove remaining oils and giving Benedryl in case there is an allergic reaction involved, but basically the drug is already in their system and it just has to work it's way through.
I contacted Sergeants and, of course, they said that it CAN'T be their product and they go through rigorous testing. I guess all those similar complaints are just coincidence... They did give me an address to send the box back for a refund.
I thought it was a reputable company and I've had good results with other flea/tick products from other companies. I've even used Sergeant's products in other forms with good results. (The furniture and carpet powder works great.)
DON'T PUT THIS PRODUCT ON YOUR DOG!!!! THEY SHOULD TAKE IT OFF THE MARKET !!! GO ONLINE AND READ REVIEWS.

My husband and I own a 1-year old lab/german shepherd mix dog named Kajal. We have been applying Tick & Flea treatment on her for the last 4 months, once a month, and never had an adverse reaction. On Monday Nov 14, 2011 I applied the Sergeant's Evolve Squeeze On 61 on the dog's back as I usually do. It was the first time I was using Sergeant's product brand. Within 1 hour of application the dog started scratching herself desperately and non-stop. Her nose started running and her temperature started fluctuating from hot to cold back and forth. Within 4 hours she started twitching and going through spams that looked like seizures. She lost balance in her head and started walking with her head falling on the floor. She would lay down and suddenly twitch without apparent cause and cry incessantly. She had lost all visual focus and could not follow any direction. When we took her to the vet the doctor looked in both ears and did not find any insects or external objects that may be hurting her ears/head, it was obvious she had an allergic reaction to the toxic ingredients in Sergeant's product. She had to be given general anesthesia and was unconscious for 3 hours while her system was decompressed. We paid hundreds of dollars at the vet's office to have her treated, my husband missed an entire day of work to monitor her at home, not counting her pain and suffering and ours. I, being the person who gave her the treatment, spent the entire night with a burning sensation in my eyes, lips, and nose and even after several attempts to wash my face with water and soap the burning sensation did not cease for almost 48 hours. It took several doses of antihistamines to make me feel better.Read more ›

I went online last night and red everyone else review and I cried because I should have done my research before using any product. I was her with dawn and gave her Benadryl she was a little better but she's not comfortable. I use this product on 7/29/2012. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT ON NO ANIMALS!

I was going to go to the vet and get some flea medicine but saw this at the supermarket and it looked comparable. DO NOT BE FOOLED like I was. I put this on my dog as directed and a few hours later he started vomiting everywhere and frothing at the mouth. He was falling all over the place and looked "drunk" and he was acting paranoid barking at nothing. He refused to drink but eventually I got him to eat. At first I thought he had rabies he looked so sick then I realized that it must be the flea medicine. I went online and researched it. I immediately gave him a bath to wash off this flea "medicine" thoroughly and he is looking somewhat better. But I am still afraid for his life. This is the worst product I've ever bought.
