This is unequivocally one of the most romantic and deeply passionate records I've ever heard. Everyone who has listened to it in my home has said (with enthusiasm), "Who IS THAT??" I tell them Augustin Lara and they run and buy it and consider it one of their best purchases. It's Augustin Lara and a piano and pure brilliance...no other instruments. Feels like you're in an intimate cafe setting in Spain. I can't recommend this album highly enough. Buy it--you will not regret it!

A piece of history from the poet laureate of Mexico. Sounds kind of weird but its a good way to study spanish music history. Highly recommend to to others.

Recordar es Volver a Vivir!! I used to dislike this type of music growing up. Now, I enjoy listening, and remembering the good old days. Sitting beside my father listening to his music. This is one of the best composers and writers for the golden era of the bolero en Mexico. Agustin Lara known as "El Flaco De Oro" (The skinny one made of gold) will bring that old nostalgic music feeling back into your mind.
